She has a few acquaintances among Chatsworth’s people, who extend her a hearty welcome. Mr and Mrs Bayston arrived here on Saturday morning. Allen, author of the famous Allen street railway Dili, is M r Montelius’ running mate, while Martin B Bailey*, of Danville, was nomi- nated for state senator, to succeed Sena- tor Charles Bogardus, of the eighteenth district. Mr Montelius has a large ac- quaintance in the district and, without doubt, vvill be elected and be a most creditable representative. An Easter Social. The ladies of the Baptist church and congregation will give an Easter social in the parlors of the Presbyterian church next Thursday evening, April 12.
