The Bad Beginning

The Baudelaire children, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, become orphans when their parents die in a fire in their home and live with their distant relative, Count Olaf. Count Olaf tries to steal their fortune but gets away before he is caught.

The Reptile Room

The orphans go to live with their parents friend, Uncle Monty, who studies reptiles. The orphans are safe until Uncle Monty gets a new assistant.

The Wide Window

The orphans live with their Aunt Josephine on top of a cliff above a sea. Their lives were okay until Aunt Josephine falls in love with a sailor.

The Miserable Mill

Mr. Poe, the one in charge of their whereabouts, sends the children to a mill to work. Klaus breaks his glasses and gets them fixed. When he comes back, he is different. Soon the girls meet the mysterious doctor.

The Austere Academy

The children are send to a boarding school where they live in a shack full of crabs and goo. They meet two out of three triplets who are like them, orphans. The Baudelaire’s are fine until they meet their new gym teacher and their friends go missing.

The Ersatz Elevator

The children get fostered by a couple who says that having orphans are “in”. Then comes the auction, the familiar auctioneer, and the secret of VFD. They find their missing friends but it’s to late to save them. Although, they find a very disturbing secret in their home.

The Vile Village

The children are sent to be raised in a village where they sweep the streets. They meet a man who knew their parents and soon he is killed. The children know the killer but no one else does… except for the new detective and the police woman. The children find their missing friends and send them to safety, but the Baudelaire’s aren’t safe yet.

The Hostile Hospital

The children join a group of people who go to hospitals and sing joyous songs to the sick. They find a file with their name on it and find a picture with a disastrous clue. The children are caught and one is almost killed but her inventing skills and the other’s biting and reading skills save them before they get hurt even more by the evil manager.

The Carnivorous Carnival

The children are in the back of the villain's car, taken to a carnival. They dress as freaks and find some way to escape. They befriend the villain's as disguised and make their way up a mountain. But the sister is kidnapped as the fall to their doom.

The Slippery Slope

The missing triplet is found as the two orphans survive. They work together as they learn more about VFD. Some of their questions are answered. But with more answers, comes more questions. Their sister is saved but the villain is on their tail.

The Grim Grotto

The children join together as the lose their friend but find another. They join the crew of a submarine to find the missing piece of the puzzle… at the bottom of the lake. Their sister’s life is in danger and they only have an hour to get the cure. The captain goes missing and they are found… by the villain.

The Penultimate Peril

The children dress like bellhops and get confused by the many familiar people in the hotel. The missing piece to the puzzle is found but not for long. The piece is found but can never be retrieved. The children run away for their lives but… with the villain.

The End

As castaways, they meet up with a new group of people. They stick to the customs and follow the rules… some of them. When they find more secrets, the island becomes darker. But when a deadly fungus is released, they only have an hour to find the cure. They save themselves, but not before the other islanders run away for safety.
