The Story of the Tree at Ao Hua(RGAYUNG)

The crops are very big and great

Today the people celebrate

celebrate: 慶祝

Ba Sang! Ba Sang! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?

Why are you so sad?Ba Sang, Ba Sang! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?

The crops should make you glad.

“I know we have a lot of food

but still I’m in a sad, sad mood.So we should go, some salt we’ll find

and I can leave my fears behind.”

What’s wrong?: 怎麼了？

sad: 難過

“Ba Sang! Ba Sang! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?I really want to know.

I’ll follow my husband, he won’t see.Quietly I’ll go.”

husband: 老公

“Ba Sang! Ba Sang! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?I really want to know.

I’ll follow my father, he won’t see.Quietly I’ll go.”

father: 爸爸

Mother and son walk, far and awayuntil Ba Sang sees them and tells them to stay.

“Here under this rock please sitand I’ll come back in a little bit.”

please sit: 請坐

They stay under the rock for yearsmother and son, through rain and tearsthey miss Ba Sang, it’s been so long

“Ba Sang! Ba Sang! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?

miss: 想念

Years pass, but Ba Sang does not show

and so the roots begin to growthe leaves, the bark, for all to see

that mother and son have become…

root: 根

A beautiful tree: leaves green and trunk long and it will be here when the people are gone

A tree!

sitting in Ao Hua,

you’ll hear its soft song……
