Cataract Surgery – NDA

• The Natural Disaster Aid sponsored 20 cataract surgeries, each costing $25.

• This includes cost of plastic lens, disposables, medicine and surgical center. Eye surgeon does not charge for surgery as he is a Rotarian.

• Most of the people who are getting eye surgery come from underprivileged section of our society. Some of them are 60 – 75 years old.

• They are laborers, washer men, barbers, vegetable vendors, maid servant and have other menial positions in society - all of which require eyes to maintain their livelihood.

ThankYou!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rotary Club Pataliputra for organizing this camp and making the entire process extremely informational and successful for me.

I would also like to thank the Rotary Club of Tustin and Irvine for introducing me to RYLA and supporting my decision to travel internationally.
