    From the editor’s desk

For some time now I have dwelled upon and even procrastinated about do-

ing my job as editor of the Signal. Ever since my bout of pneumonia that ended

in January I have not had the ambition or responsibility about doing this job, fi-

nally I have crawled out from underneath my rock and got some of my ambition

back so I am going to give it a try to produce our newsletter! There has been a lot

of things going on in my life and I will not dwell upon them That being said and

done I am going to try to get things back in order and be the Editor again.

As editor it is my job to produce the newsletter and gave you articles that

are interesting and newsworthy. I am always asking people to give me an article

for the Signal and I have written a few small articles myself and this is where I

find the difficulty in doing the newsletter.

  • As you can see from our calendar of events we have a pretty intense month

of public boating courses. We just finished two boating courses in March , one

was here in Warren with nine students and the other was at Smith boys Marina on

Chautauqua Lake with nine more students. I have been talking to Wolf run Mari-

na about holding a class for them and they are very interested in doing so. The

Chautauqua yacht club and Smith boys Marina want us to hold a class up there.

We are making one class up there which will be held at Smith boys on June 1 and

14th and a class at Wolf Run Marina will be on June 21 and 28th. Hopefully we

may see a few new members from these boating classes.

We have changed our meeting date to the second Wednesday of the month

And the meeting place is at the Warren Public Library
