A WEEK OF COMMUNITY July 12 - 17 BOARD OF RABBIS OF ROCHESTER BRIGHTON FARMERS MARKET Kickoff will begin on Sunday, July 12th at the Brighton Farmers Market from 9am-1pm. Donations will be accepted at the Brighton Food Cupboard tent or donate online. NEIGHBORHOOD CAPTAINS Start your food and supply drive! MOVIE NIGHT Come see the movie The Lorax at the pop up drive- in in conjunction with the Jewish Film Festival. Tickets required. All proceeds benefit the Brighton Food Cupboard and Pencils and Paper. Enter the parking lot at 7:45pm/Movie begins at 8:30pm. Space is limited, order your tickets here. WEEKLONG COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES Sign up to be a neighborhood captain. We will drop off paper bags for you to distribute to your neighborhood on Monday, July 13 and then you collect the donations throughout the week. Please drop off the donations on Thursday, July 16 at the JCC drive thru event (5-7pm) or throughout the week at the Brighton Food Cupboard (Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm). For more information, contact Biffy Borg at [email protected]. During the week, the community will be able to go online and “purchase” items from our Virtual Drive, such as mac-n-cheese, crayons, etc. to support funding for the Brighton Food Cupboard and Pencils and Paper. Click to view items available to purchase. Jewish Family Service is proud to launch the second round of “Shabbat-in-a-Box” on Friday, July 17. Dinners will be provided at no cost to those who are in need of a meal and unable to access food without assistance. Shabbat-in-a-Box may also be purchased for $20. If you would like to sponsor a meal for someone, this option is also available. All orders must be received by Friday, July 10 at 5 pm. Purchase a Shabbat-in-a-box KEEP COLLECTING! Your generosity provides school supplies to children and food to the community.
