BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

Children are like sponges—they watch and absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone around them.

At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world and school age kids make friends, learn new skills and do their homework.

Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confi dent kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

WE'RE NOT JUST TEACHING LIFE-SAVING SKILLS . . . .

WE'RE BUILDING CONFIDENCEWe use a student centered learning style to keep children actively involved in their progression. When students are allowed to fi gure out what to do on their own, they are actively and creatively participating in their learning. As a result they tend to remember what they learn better and longer.

Participants are placed in a level based on age and ability to help meet the developmental needs of each swimmer.

With our doors open to all, we work every day to connect people from all backgrounds and support those who need us most.

Whether through our Annual Campaign, which helps guarantee that everyone, regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay, can benefi t from the Y's programs or a legacy gift to our Endowment Fund, we count on the generosity of the community to meet our mission.
