Missionaries with GLOBAL UNIVERSITY

“Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them”

Greetings in the name of our Master and Coming King! Jesus said: “The harvest is plentiful but the

workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest

field.” (Mat.9:37-38). He also urged: “Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to

obey everything I have commanded you” (Mat.28:19-20).

More than 44 years ago Don and Cyndie answered the Great Commission and dedicated their lives to

carrying it out. The missionary task has led them to preach, teach and disciple in several continents and

many nations. Missionaries with AGWM since 1972, they first served in Portugal and Spain, afterwards

they ministered in Cuba and Latin America with special emphasis on ministerial training. They are now

serving as missionaries with Global University which is a part of the division of International Ministries of

AGWM. Their focus is on Cuba and the Spanish & Portuguese-speaking worlds on 4 continents training

and equipping ministers for the end-time Harvest. Global University is presently ministering in

evangelism, discipleship and training in a cooperative work in 150 countries and in 126 languages. This

time has been intensive, filled with opportunities for ministry.

It is said that one picture is worth 10,000 words. In

this pictorial journal we offer you some pictures

(which are worth 180,000 words) with their

descriptions narrate some of the highlights of the

missionary life of Don & Cyndie in this past year.

Cyndie’s office in the International Offices of

Global University. Her official title: Spanish Testing

Coordinator, although her ministry reaches far

beyond, corresponding with GU students, among

others those who are prisoners, praying and

counseling and many other ministry opportunities

within and outside of the building’s

walls. She perfects the exams in order

to insure maximum quality in the

education of our Spanish-speaking

ministerial students around the world.

accompanied the National Choir for two months on their U.S. tour, interpreting, helping as liaison and

with logistics, food & transportation. Their ministry was greatly blessed!

Don & Cyndie with Rev. Eduardo González on his visit

to the International Offices of Global University in

Springfield, Missouri. In addition to his many academic

degrees, ministerial and administrative titles, he is our

Global University director for Cuba, a great friend and

Don’s former student in Cuba.

The A/G Educators’ Summit for Central and North America

and Caribbean – San Salvador, El Salvador – in March

2014. 480 delegates were present representing fourteen

countries including educators & ministers, professors,

national Christian Education directors, regional

representatives, national superintendents and Bible Institute

directors.

Don preaching in Almada, Lisbon, Portugal

where our good friend and former Asst.

Gen. Superintendent of Portugal and

present Director of the Portuguese Bible

Institute Rev. Paulo Branco pastors.

Don (Hugo) with Prof. Carlos Fontes the Academic Dean

and General Director Rev. Paulo Branco at the MEIBAD

Bible Institute (A/G) near Lisbon. Don taught a course for the 4th year of the B.A. in Theology program for

ministers in Portugal, a module-based program of continuing education. The Jeters were co-founders of

the MEIBAD Bible Institute in 1974.

Don & Cyndie visited and preached in Aracena, Huelva,

Spain. The mother church in Sevilla recently dedicated a

new A/G church there, the 1st non-Catholic church in the

history of the town. Even the mayor attended the dedication.

Kingdom growing is a process in which many faithful take

part (1 Cor. 3:6-8). Forty years ago, as ICI director in

Spain, Don visited ICI students in Aracena who had taken the

evangelistic courses and were taking what is now the Christian

Life courses of Global University, getting to know them &

encouraging them in their faith in an effort to form home study

groups across the provinces of Huelva and Sevilla as well in the

rest of Spain.

In Spain and the rest of Europe,

church growth is a slow, deliberate

process. There are no instant signs of

results so eagerly sought after in our

“success-driven” U.S. market. What

we do have is an unwavering trust in

the Lord of the Harvest who promised

“I will build my church” (Mat.16:18)

and the Word of God which does not

“return unto Him void” (Isa.55:11).

Don & Cyndie’s oldest daughter, Ruthie Gómez and her

husband Brian are fully appointed AGWM missionaries in

Sevilla, southern Spain. Don was privileged to visit them,

preaching Easter morning in the central A/G church in

Sevilla and participating in other church activities with their

good friends Pastor José & Pilar Baena.

Don ministered at the

Facultad de Teología

A/D (A/G Bible

College in La Carlota,

Córdoba, Spain). Its

four-year ministerial

training program is

now fully accredited by the government in Spain. Don is still a faculty

member though not resident. This past April 2014 he gave a

conference on “Calvinism & Arminianism: Premises & Theological

Dangers”. It was well-publicized in the Andalusian Region of Spain

and very well received. Attendees drove from as far as Madrid. The

entire extension center from Granada attended. It was very well-

received!

Reagan Clara Jeter (daughter of

Paul & Zhaleh Jeter) was born in

March 2014 also in Texas, our

eighth grandchild.

Lilliana Grace Jeter (daughter of

Jonathan & Brenda Jeter) was

born in May 2014, in Texas. She

is our ninth grandchild.

Number 10, Anna Sofía, arrived in March 2015 in

Sevilla, Spain, to Ruthie & Brian Gómez.

D. Irizarry: “It was so incredible to hear

the pastors who are in the B.A.

Program of Global University testify

how the curriculum is helping them in

their own personal walk with God, how

it is helping them in their preaching, and

how it is making them make better disciples. The other joyous testimonies to hear were how the Kindles

are a HUGE!!!! blessing to them.”

Global University Cuba’s first graduation ceremony in

December 2014 where a total of 417 students were

honored including 135 with their B.A. degree and 26 with

their Masters. The newly graduated ministers with their

MA degrees will now in turn form part of the Adjunct

Faculty of GU Cuba to help with over 3,000 students in

Cuba studying on the undergraduate level. The Cuban

leadership plans for at least 5 to go ahead with their

doctoral studies with Global. 412 students immediately

enrolled to take the place of the graduates.
