April 2016

This month my message will definitely be in keeping with the title - it will be brief! As you wind down the program year in your branches and you look ahead to the 2016-2017 year, I would like you to consider serving on an AAUW CA state committee. There is much to be done at the state, from the AAUW Fund to Governance, from Membership to Marketing and Development; find your passion and sign up! The deadline for vita submission is May 15th, so time is of the essence. Click HERE (see form on following pages)to find the vita form and HERE (see committee descriptions on following pages) for a list of the committees and their duties. Both are also on the home page of the AAUW CA website. Fill out your vita now and reserve July 16th to meet face to face at

Leadership Weekend.

Equity is still an issue, but remember, when you step forward you help AAUW make strides toward equity every day because you are active in a community that breaks through educational and

economic barriers so that all women and girls have a fair chance.
