    Today the cases of abandonment of

    children become a hot issue in Malaysia.

    There are many causes that lead to thecontribution of this problem.

    Causes include many social and cultural

    factors as well as mental illness. One of the causes is teenage pregnancy

    (main factor)

    This is a study on the teenage pregnancyand how it become a root to the cases

    of abandoned children in Malaysia. Other factors involve such as family

    break- up, and also poverty.

    However, according to the reliable

    statistic for year 1998 until 2010, the mostsuspected according to jobs wereamong the students- age around13- 25years old. (teenagers).

    The abandonment of children become

    a current phenomenon in Malaysia.

    Different aspect of the problem hasbeen traced by different researchers.

    However, there is a need to look into the

    teenage pregnancy as an aspect that

    required researcher to conduct a properresearch.

    Therefore, it is expected that the results

    of this research may highlight the

    understanding of the teenagepregnancy as a main factor to the baby

    dumping in Malaysia. This study also will

    highlight some alternatives to overcome

    this problem.

    To know the role of the government insolving this problem through law

    enforcement.
