The primary objective of this popular course is to providethe participant with a mutidiscipinary understandin of the desin, materias, construction, interity, operationand maintenance of this important onshore and offshoreinfrastructure.

The oi and as industry is considered to be one of the

most important industries on the panet. The raw materials, products and resources provided by this industry have manyfunctions, including fuelling our transportation systems andheating our homes.

Activities within the oil and gas industry can be dividedinto three large areas: exploration, production andcommercialisation. All three sectors involve the ever-moredemanding transportation of oil, gas and other related products.

Pipeines are eneray the most economica way totransport are quantities of oi and as over and andsubsea. Oil and gas have to be transported from offshore oronshore facilities and pipelines offer the most convenientsolution. In comparison with rail or road transportation, pipelinesare more cost efficient, providing a lower cost per unit as well asa higher capacity.

Delivered entirely online by distance learning, the programmeoffers both the fexibiity to earn in your own time andenvironment, so you will become part of the broad rane of peope who wi benefit from studying this course.

Written by industry specialists in their fields, the six modulesaddress the important issues and self-assessment questions helpto draw out key points so you can check your understandingof the topic, before taking the online tests to consolidate yourlearning.

I look forward to welcoming you onto the course.
