Independent Living

When is it time to move?

When we can still make the

decision. When we can

begin to feel the weight of

our present circumstances

bearing down as the interest

in maintaining these circum-

stances diminishes. When we

begin to notice a dearth of

interesting other people

frequenting our lives. When

we can imagine a simpler,

more engaging, easier and

more contented manner of

living.

Then it’s time to seriously

consider it.

Riddle- Neighbors

This is another example of

Einstein's riddles. It is said that this quiz was made up

by the famous physicist and according to him 98% will

not solve it. There is a row of five different color houses.

Each house is occupied by a of different nationality.

Each man has a different pet, prefers a different drink,

and smokes different brand of cigarettes.

1. The Brit lives in the Red house.

2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.

3. The Dane drinks tea.

4. The Green house is next to the White house, on the

left.

5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.

6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.

7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.

8. The man living in the center house drinks milk.

9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.

10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one

who keeps cats.

11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who

smokes Dunhill.

12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.

13. The German smokes Prince.

14. The Norwegian lives next to the Blue house. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water. Who has fish at home? Are you one of the 2% who can

answer this riddle? If you do know, stop at the Pier 55

front desk to claim you prize and enter your name into

an end-of-the-year drawing.

Lifeline Drop-Off Site Pier 55 (Red Wing Senior Center)

————————— If you no longer need your Lifeline Medical Alert

equipment, you can save the pick-up charge by

dropping it off at Pier 55. We’ll get it back to Lifeline

for you.Free service activation coupons are also

available.

Parking Lot Etiquette We love to offer trips, and we know you love to take

them! A side-effect of the popularity of the trips is

parking lot congestion. A good many cars fill spaces a

full day (or more), that could be used by folks attend-

ing classes, activities and services at Pier55. To allevi-

ate this problem, please consider carpooling or having

someone drop you off and pick you up. If this is not

possible, try to park on the other side of the median

(the row of trees) toward the large Pottery Place build-

ing. Thanks from your fellow members!
