ABSTRACT
This sample article provides information and instructions for preparing in a standard format the papers to be included in the Proceedings Volume of the 4 th International Conference of Engineering Against Failure. It illustrates the paper layout, and describes points the author should notice before preparing the paper. In order to bring the articles into a uniform layout and style, authors are kindly requested to follow the instructions given below.

The title should be brief. The author's name and affiliations should be typed below the title using the format shown above. Which author is to receive correspondence should be indicated.
1.2 Abstract
1*Corresponding author
First A. Author, Second B. Author, Third C. Author
A short abstract (not exceeding 150 words) should immediately precede the Keywords and body of the paper. Abstracts should be most informative, giving a clear indication of the nature and range of the results contained in the paper.
1.3 Keywords
Keywords or short (three-word) keyphrases, about six maximum, should be provided after the Abstract.
1.4 Nomenclature
After the abstract and keywords, a complete list of the symbols used in the paper and their definitions should be given. Nomenclature should conform to that most frequently used in the engineering field concerned. The listing should be in alphabetical order; Roman language list first, Greek language list second.
1.5 Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be inserted in the text and typed using the following format:
