Moving from a Production Economy to an Innovation EconomyThe mexican Ministry of Education wants to transform the country, moving from a production economy to an innovation economy. As part of this endeavor, the Ministry has decided to foster learning of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This will help respond to the ever-growing demand from industry and improve the country’s competitiveness.

Dassault Systèmes and local partners have worked together to deploy a wide range of tools to support the initiative such as training educators, certifying professionals, and setting up PLM Competency Centers.

equAl opportunity AnD Stem AttrActiVeneSSInitially designed as an equal opportunity initiative, course en cours is an award-winning, engaging, educational project organized annually in france. Designed to get young people interested in science and technology, it involves 11,500 high school students aged 11 to 18.

course en cours connects high schools, higher education, and employers. Schools use the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE® platform to design and build a miniature racing car powered by an electric engine. This multidisciplinary project combines mathematics, physics, technology, French, English, art, and other skills such as marketing, communications, and teamwork.

Endorsed by the French Ministry of Education, the project has delivered a professional development training program from Dassault Systèmes to 1,440 teachers.

Supporting eDucAtionAl reformSThe Algerian Ministry of Education is implementing Dassault Systèmes software applications in technical classes across the country’s 550 high schools to train next-generation engineers and designers.

The Ministry has been involved in a series of reforms to help bring the Algerian education system in line with international standards and increase the effectiveness of foundation courses, particularly in science and mathematics.  

To achieve this, a 3D design application was needed that provides students with the same tools as those used by engineers and designers around the world. The Ministry will deploy 100 3DEXPERIENCE licenses at each of its 550 schools and provide remote laptop access to the platform for every student. Teachers will be certified and schools will also be certified exam administrators.

Students will also be able to take advantage of a Student Engineering Kit, which they can use on their personal computers to improve their knowledge and develop their creative skills.
