Angela Hewitt has been hailed as ‘the pre-eminent Bach pianist of our time’ (The Guardian) and “the pianist who will define Bach performance on the piano for years to come” (Stereophile). Angela Hewitt appears as recitalist and soloist at the major concert halls around the world. Recital highlights of recent seasons include debuts in Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw while orchestral engagements have included performances with the Cleveland Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Toronto Symphony, London Philharmonic, Philharmonia, Hallé Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony, Oslo Philharmonic, Basel Chamber, Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra and a debut at the Verbier Festival playing and conducting Bach. Angela Hewitt was named ‘Artist of the Year’ in the 2006 Gramophone Awards. She has homes in London, Canada and Umbria, Italy, where she invites international musicians each summer to take part in her own Trasimeno Music Festival.

Jeffrey Swann enjoys an international performing career which has taken him throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Orient. He won first prize in the Dino Ciani Competition of La Scala in Milan, a gold medal at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, and top honors at the Warsaw Chopin, Van Cliburn, Vianna da Motta and Montreal Competitions, as well as the Young Concert Artists auditions in New York City. His large and varied repertoire includes more than 50 concertos as well as solo works ranging from Bach to Boulez. Mr. Swann has performed with internationally acclaimed orchestras. In addition, he has lectured for three consective years at the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, Germany, and taught courses and master classes in Italy and the United States.

Pavel Berman is a prize winner of the International Violin Competitions in Indianapolis (1990) and Paganini in Genoa, Italy (1987). Pavel Berman was born in Moscow, where he studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. While performing internationally, in 1992 he moved on to study with Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School in New York and later with Isaac Stern. He has performed as soloist all over the world with world renowned orchestras and conductors. In 2010-2011 Berman toured in Japan and Italy as a soloist and conductor with the Mantua Chamber Orchestra. He performs on Antonio Stradivari violin ‘Maréchal Berthier’, Cremona 1716 ‘ex Napoléon’ lent to him by the Pro Canale Foundation, Milan.

One of Britain ’s leading pianists over several decades, Hamish Milne has appeared as soloist with most of the leading British orchestras and has given over two hundred broadcasts for the BBC. Overseas engagements in recent years have taken him to the USA , the Far East, Africa and several countries of the former Soviet Union as well Western Europe; He is also well known as a chamber musician, formerly with the Parikian/Milne/Fleming Trio and currently with the Pro Arte Piano Quartet and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Ensemble. He has recorded for Chandos, CRD, Danacord, Decca and Hyperion labels. He is a piano professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and a Professor of the University of London.

Pianist, writer and musicologist, Emanuele Arciuli has established himself as one of the most original and interesting performers on today’s classical music scene. His repertoire ranges from Bach to contemporary music, with a strong affinity for composers from the United States . Emanuele Arciuli continuously develops new projects and is in constant pursuit of new ideas and innovative programmes. Emanuele Arciuli regularly performs at major concert halls and festivals, such as the Berliner Festwochen, Miller Theater New York, Miami Piano Festival, La Scala Milano, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, La Fenice Venice, and the Brescia and Bergamo International Festival. He regularly performs with internationally renowned orchestras. In May 2011, Emanuele Arciuli was awarded with the most important Italian critic’s prize, the Premio Franco Abbiati. In winnig this prize, Emanuele Arciuli follows in the footsteps of Maurizio Pollini, Radu Lupu, and Zubin Metha. He is a professor at the Conservatory in Bari and a frequent guest professor at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and other American universities.

Claudio Martínez Mehner began his studies at the Real Conservatorio de Musica in Madrid. He completed his studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (Germany), the Fondazione per il Pianoforte in Como (Italy) and the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore (USA), studying primarily with Dmitri Bashkirov, Vitalij Margulis and Leon Fleisher. He was a finalist in the Santander International Competition ‘Paloma O’Shea’ and won first prizes in the international competitions Chimay Foundation (Belgium), Pilar Bayona (Zaragoza) and Dino Ciani (Milan). He has performed all over Europe and the United States, Russia, Central America, Korea and Japan. Currently he holds a piano teaching position at the Conservatorio Superior de Aragón in Zaragoza, Spain, and teaches masterclasses in Europe, Asia and the U.S.. Starting September 2012 he will be piano professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.
