Environment Monitoring Training & Research Centre (EMTRC) was established in 1997-98 as a proprietorship firm. In 2002 the firm was converted to Private Limited Company - EMTRC Consultants (P) Ltd. EMTRC LABORATORY (EMTRC CONSULTANTS (P) LTD.) is located in Masoori – Gulawti Industrial Area, Ghaziabad. The laboratory of EMTRC is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratory (NABL) as per ISO 17025-2005 for carrying out testing of stack emissions, ambient air, water & waste water.
The laboratory has also facilities for testing of hazardous gases, noise, soil, sediments, metals, minerals, toxicity and biological studies, bio-monitoring of water bodies, bacteriological etc.

ENVIRONMENT IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDIES The scope includes preparation of Terms of Reference and obtaining approval of Expert Committee, Study of Process / Activity, Generation of Baseline Data on Environmental and Social Components, Impact Prediction using Software Models, Assessment of Alternatives and Preparation of EMP. National and International guidelines on EIA are followed while scooping so that the EIA Report is acceptable to regulatory authorities as well as project financers. The EIA report is presented during the Public Hearing and before State Pollution Control Board. TRAINING MODULES DEVELOPED BY EMTRC
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
This module caters to the training needs of chemists working in any industrial laboratory. Additional experience gained in testing of water and wastewater, noise & solid waste. The same chemists can handle routine environmental sampling and testing besides their usual routine assignment. 3-day program conducted by experienced professionals who visit the unit for training 2-3 chemists in group. Relevant training documents are also provided (1 set) Lab instruments like spectrophotometer and analytical balance required for training. Chemicals are brought by EMTRC.
ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION
This module caters to the training and sensitization needs of managers in administration and technical department of industry. Additional awareness gained in understanding of various environmental laws of the country besides mandatory procedures to be followed. This helps in performing the environmental management in a competent & transparent manner 1-day program conducted by experienced professionals who will visit the unit for delivering lectures to a selected group of managers. Documents also provided.
DOCUMENTATION PROCEDURES
This module helps in understanding the various forms, documents and data required to be collated and submitted to the regulatory authorities on yearly basis. The module is meant for environmental management department, cell or unit. It checks the compliance level and measures to improve the compliance level. Relevant copy of forms are provided Correct procedures to fill-up the forms is demonstrated. Source of obtaining reliable and accurate data is also demonstrated. 1-day program conducted by experienced professionals who visit the unit for training.

LABORATORY FACILITIES
EMTRC LABORATORY (EMTRC CONSULTANTS (P) LTD.) is located in Masoori – Gulawti Industrial Area, Ghaziabad. The laboratory of EMTRC is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratory (NABL) as per ISO 17025-2005 for carrying out testing of stack emissions, ambient air, water & waste water.
The laboratory has also facilities for testing of hazardous gases, noise, soil, sediments, metals, minerals, toxicity and biological studies, bio-monitoring of water bodies, bacteriological etc.
In order to ensure the 'Accuracy in measurements' following practices are followed:
1. Use of NIST traceable International Certified Reference materials as reference standards
2. Calibration of all Instruments & Glasswares used.
3. Staff training through various training programs, Quality control tests & tests undertaken based on theoretical & practical aspects.
4. Job authorizations is granted after training.
5. Use of Standard Operating Procedures.
6. Participation in various National/ International 'Proficiency Program'
The laboratory secured 100% marks in Proficiency Testing Program conducted by Central Pollution Control Board.
