Background of Project
With the aim of reducing energy consumption in Asia, the “Energy Audit Program through IT,” based on the “Asia Knowledge Economy Initiative,” under contract from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
A future-oriented cooperative project to build an advanced knowledge- economy zone based on Japan’s experience and know-how
Asia Knowledge Economy Initiative Launched in 2009
The Diagnosis on Energy Saving by IT is a practical project to enhance the use of IT in economic activities.
To help reduce energy consumption in Asia.
2009: The project started with four companies.
2010: The participants increased to eight.
2011: A consortium was formed.
2012: Four companies are performing the project mainly in Malaysia.
