What is the Acquisition Community Connection (ACC)?– Virtual collaborative workspace/environment– Forum for practitioners to interact – Assists in top-down communication by providing multiple avenues and direct methods
for disseminating information and Community sustainment ACC Operations – Management
– Top Level sponsorship • Sponsorship may be shared by more than one office as communities span
multiple organizations– Recognized need for re-engaging the community for added value– Critical issues or resources to support?– ACC Support Team provides operations infrastructure, guidelines, tech support and
direct community support– Operating procedures – communities are as valuable as the information they contain– User Info and Training

Rules of Engagement– Contributions (No FOUO) – Unclassified only– Leaders, content editors, SME are responsible for managing the content – Copyrighted material must have written permission from author/owner of information– DO –

Membership– Department of Defense and other government agencies are allowed automatically as long as they join up
using their organizational email address– Participation is free/voluntary – casual surfers of the internet, members of the site, SME, Leaders and
champions – Community administrator/editor can control who has access to his/her space, by adding people as

The Small Business CoP was established . Page views average 16K per month in FY09. Number of downloads average in the range of 950 per month. Minimal questions being posted with good rate of responses. Zero contributions posted in FY09. Significant drop off in number of downloads over past several months. Number of contributions listed is deceiving in that many resources and information posted in the community are embedded links within topic area text, therefore they are not identified as an individual contributions.
*Extended reach is estimated at 20% of total page views. Conservatively we estimate that each of these contacts would be equivalent to 5 minutes of faculty time via any other form of “touch” (phone, email, etc.). DAU Extended Reach Calculation = #page views x .2 (% of reach contact) x 5min / 60 (min) = #hours / FTE (2080 hours) = # of FTEs x $140K (Avg DAU FTE Rate) = $Value
