What's the difference?

Scoring- On SAT +1 for questions you get correct. -1/4 for questions you miss on multiple choice. 0 points for incorrect student-produced response (math section) and for questions not answered. ACT count the number of questions on each test that you answered correctly. Nothing is deducted for incorrect answers.

Questions- What’s on one test might not be what's on the other test.

Sections- SAT has 3 parts. ACT has 5 parts.

FUN FACT: Most colleges and universities will take one or the other.
