High Level Goals
• Long term goals– Promoting project-based science teaching as a part of the
educational policy in Poland– Building a strong coalition of partners e.g. regional authorities,
NGOs, media, private sponsors– Ensuring financial sustainability for a minimum period of 3
years
• Short term goals– Attaining the 2012/2013 Intel ISEF affiliation for an existing
national fair affiliated with EUCYS– Significantly increasing participation in the subject fair– Developing an adequate project selection & evaluation system

Objectives
• Country background– Long-term experience in organizing a national fair the Polish
qualifications to EUCYS organized by the Polish Children’s Fund– Diversified & committed team with academic and business
experience
• Projected results– Adapt existing science fair to comply with Intel ISEF rules by 2013– Extend and modify recruitment process to increase the number of
participating students and engaged schools– Increase the number of the science fair finalists in Poland (2012 –
30, 2013 – 50, 2015 – 100)– Introduce and promote STEM oriented curricula for teachers (in
cooperation with Intel)

• Cooperate with Nadiya Mosyakina from Ukraine on affiliating the national science fair to Intel ISEF
• Use international experience presented at the Educator Academy and establish regular experience sharing e.g. Ireland, Costa Rica & California
