Event 1: Orientation programme of Internal Complaint Committee

Date: 31st August, 2018.

Venue: Seminar Hall

Name of the Speaker: Advocate Girish Ganu.

Internal Complaint Committee has organized an “Orientation Session” on 31st August, 2018 for First year Engineering and First year MMS students. Head of the committee, Prof. Bagayatkar K. M. oriented the students. A motivational speech delivered by Principal of the college, Dr. M. M. Bhagwat. He mentioned the importance of human values in life. Advocate Girish Ganu from Devrukh addressed the gathering on “Gender Equity”. He elaborated about fairness of treatment for women and men,

according to their respective needs which include equal treatment in terms of rights, benefits, obligations

and opportunities. Total 80 students and 06 staff member were present for the session.

Event 2: Street Play on “ Aaj ki nari sab pe bhari”

Date: 01st March, 2019.

Place: Madhyamik Ashramshala Jr. College, Nive Budruk.

Street Play on “ Aaj ki nari sab pe bhari” was presented by ICC and DLLE students

members in collaboration on 1st March, 2019 at Madhyamik Ashramshala Jr. College,

Nive Budruk. They showed domestic Violence against women and girls is a major health

and human rights issue, selective abortion of a fetus because it is female, disparity in

education, Child Marriages, sexual harassment in homes, on streets, in public transports,

at offices and gender inequality. They also informed about women‟s rights, human rights

and how to fight back to restore their dignified position in society. Approximately 197

students and 06 staff members attended the session.

Event 3: Marathi Essay Competition

Date: 15th March, 2019. Venue: Class Room No. 10 Time: 4.15 to 5.15 pm

A Marathi essay competition was held on 15th March 2019. The Topic of the Competition was ‘women in changing world of work and Equality of women in progress of all. 03 boys and 08

girls‟ students actively participated during the event.

The Winners are as follows: Winner: Ms Snehal B. Jadhav. 1st Runner up: Ms Amruta A. Zagade.

Event: Poster competition on “Gender Equality”

Date: 26th September, 2017. Venue: ED Hall (Main Building) Time: 3.00 to 4.00 pm Topic: (i) Gender Equity, (ii) Women Empowerment.

A Poster Making competition was held on 26th September 2017. The Topics of the Competition

was „Gender Equity‟ and „Women Empowerment‟ is a vast topic to discuss and here the

participants had to show their imagination through posters and slogans. 26 boys and 12 girls‟

students enthusiastically participated in the competition.
