Beginning in 1755, Acadian families were separated and shipped to various destinations including seven British American colonies:

Connecticut New York Pennsylvania Maryland,

Massachusetts South Carolina, Georgia)

Some were sent to French Caribbean (Antilles, Martinique, St. Domingue).
