Actor research and auditions I had a range of actors I could use for my production, from friends, family and peers at school. Ideally, I would like to use a real actor, who would be more authentic in their acting, however due to resources, this is not possible. I wanted to chose an actor who is mature in age and experienced, for example the actor Simon Pegg would be ideal. This is because I would want my protagonist to be relatable for the middle aged, stereotypically male audience who might be interested in crime genre films. For the antagonist, I would want someone who was younger than the protagonist so he's perceived more seriously as a threat When it came to choosing some people to act in my production, I was constrained by the availability of the actors. The choice of people that I had to participate in my acting were as follows:

Actor research and auditions page 2 • In the end, I used my dad for the role of the protagonist, this is because he is middle aged and also is a PCSO which meant that he had an authentic outfit that fit him.

• For the antagonist, I included my brother who is younger than the protagonist and very tall which made him seem quite threatening. He was also available a lot so that was helpful for my filming,
