Now that you have learned that certain stores just

don’t cut it for us curvy plus size girls. I need to equip

you with some shopping resources that are some of

my personal favorites for dressing my own curves!

Ross Dress For LessI know that I have given the

old dust rag to department stores, but I have to be

honest and let you know not all department stores

are created equal. One of my favorite stores to shop

at is Ross Dress for Less. This store has an entire

section dedicated just to us! Here you can find pants,

skirts, legging, capri’s, tanks, dresses, and all kinds

of shirts…..nice ones, with a little shape built into it

to flatter your body. I promise you will not have to

worry about any potato sacks in this place. They even

carry plus size undies and lingerie. I almost forgot

to mention the great selection of shoes they offer with

brands like Nine West, Dollhouse and Steve Madden.

I am a bargain diva so you know this place is also a

personal favorite because most items are under $20!

Casual PlusMany of my favorite outfits are purchased online.

The wonderful benefit of online shopping is the

increased percentage rate that you’re not going to find

your fellow curvy sister show up to the same event as

you with the same digs on. I know there are a couple

Curvy girlfriends listen up! Long past are the

days for us to fall victim to the mass wide retail and

fashion industry slums we have become accustomed to

accepting. I mean truth be told we know that when it

comes to being able to be confident in finding clothes

that helps us to feel spunky and sexy the racks in our

local department stores are seriously failing us. Oddly

enough global retail giant’s interpretation of high

fashion for us sexy and curvaceous ladies are myriads

of oversized floral printed shirts, pants with elastic

at the waist, and flats that are destined to lean at the

sides soon after walking from stop sign a to stop sign

b. Why are we tourturing ourselves to fit conforms

of a sector in the industry that clearly doesn’t get the

look and feel were after. I mean who are we kidding

when was the last time you were able to actually walk

into your local retail department store and find an

outfit worthy of ripping New York’s or Los Angeles

hottest runways………………….. Right! I digress.

This is my point, once your able to embrace the fact

that department stores that sale food and clothes are

not designed to meet the fashion needs of us thicker

sister’s, then the better off you will be and the better

dressed you will be. I don’t know about you, but for

me, wearing a floral printed potato sack and elastic

waist band pants maybe okay for a late night break

in at an all you can eat buffet but not for exuding the

spark and confidence that is the real reflection of who

stigma’s that comes with online shopping. The first

question many wonder is if shopping is secure

Oh yes I love Figuresque. This is the feeling

you should get when shopping. You know the

feeling………..confident that you’re sure to look

fashion forward. Sexy from the moment you walk

out the door to show the world. I love this online

store and you will too when you see the plethora

of fashion choices you have at your disposal. They

carry sizes 14-36, very reasonably priced. When I say

they have everything I mean it. You know us curvy

plus size girls need shape wear, well Figuresque has

it. We need hosiery just like our itsy bitsy counterpart

girlfriends, and guess what they have it! Did I mention

they have us covered for our costume needs for

Halloween next month? Well they do! I love this store
