1. Add Perkins & Will / IGW Architecture Addendum #1 a. See drawing and specification modifications/clarifications on the attached Perkins &

Will / IGW Architecture Addendum #1. These modifications/clarifications are considered incorporated with the associated bid package(s) the scope of work falls under.

2. Modify Invitation to Bid a. Modify Section XXI. Division 0 – General Conditions, Subsection B. Invitation to Bid:

i. For Item IV., Modify item to: “A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 2:00PM (CDT), at O’Shea Builders Office, located at 502 West Clark Street in Champaign, IL. Contractors are encouraged to arrive early. All prospective bidders should attend this meeting to confirm the existing conditions.”

3. Modify General Conditions of the Contract

a. Modify Section XXIII. Division 0 – General Conditions, Subsection D. General Conditions of the Contract:

i. Under Section 13.2.2, Modify 1st sentence to: “The Owner may, without consent of

the Contractor, assign the Contract to another party, if another party assumes the Owner’s rights and obligations under the Contract Documents.

4. Modify Bid Packages

a. Modify Bid Package 020500 Demolition: i. Add Inclusion 215: “Provide dedicated dumpster and/or haul off for scope of work.”

ii. Add Inclusion 216: “Provide removal of light poles, above grade conduit and wire, proper disposal of ballasts, and panels.”

b. Modify Bid Package 033000 Concrete: i. Add Inclusion 110: “Provide maintenance / removal of wash-out enclosure for

scope of work.” ii. Delete Inclusion 309: “Alternate 3 Work - Provide multi-use pathway throughout the

site as shown including but not limited to excavation, concrete, aggregate base, reinforcement, formwork, backfill.” Inclusion removed to avoid confusion of including Alternate 3 work in Base Bid proposal. Concrete Contractor to still provide pricing for this work in the Alternate No 3 section on the Bid Form.

iii. Delete Inclusion 314: “Provide steel handrails for the concrete stair and ramp locations.” General Trades Contractor to provide this scope of work.

c. Modify Bid Package 042000 Masonry:

i. Add Inclusion 109: “Provide scaffolding as needed to perform scope of work. Scaffolding to meet OSHA requirements.”

ii. Add Inclusion 110: “Provide maintenance / removal of wash-out enclosure for scope of work.”

iii. Modify Inclusion 323: “Provide all galvanized steel sill support angles per all Details on Sheet 4.2.”

iv. Modify inclusion 329: “Install anchors bolts at top course of CMU for wood plate and/or beam attachment. Anchor bolts to be furnished by General Trades Contractor.”

d. Modify Bid Package 061000 General Trades:

i. Add Specification Section: “12 21 13 Horizontal Louver Blinds - Complete” ii. Add Specification Section: “13 36 16 Angle-Framed Bleachers - Complete” iii. Modify Inclusion 340: “Provide a complete engineered baseball backstop system

including but not limited to netting, cabling, poles, and foundations as per note 32 on sheet A1.0.”

iv. Delete Inclusion 348: “Provide all stainless steel flashing above limestone sills at as per detail 6/A3.2 and 9/A4.2.”

v. Add Inclusion 385: “Provide final clean of locker room/concession building including all floors, counters, walls, lockers, plumbing fixtures, etc. Wash down all exterior concrete walkways, bleachers, and courts.”

vi. Inclusions 385 thru 393 under the Painting Scope are modified to 386 thru 394.

e. Modify Bid Package 075000 Roofing & Sheetmetal: i. Modify Inclusion 305: “Provide prefinished custom fabricated architectural sheet

metal including but not limited to gutters, downspouts, copings, fascia, rakes, drip edging, and soffits as per the contract documents.”

ii. Delete Inclusion 308: “Furnish stainless steel thru flashing, (installed by Masonry), as per the contract documents.” Flashing provided by Masonry Contractor.

f. Modify Bid Package 220000 Plumbing:

i. Delete Inclusion 304: “Provide gas line and extend from existing gas line, left within 5’ of building footprint, and extend to new meter location.”

ii. Modify Inclusion 305: “Provide gas line from meter to new exterior ground mounted RTU, including all shut off valves and drip legs. Final connection to RTU to be by Mechanical subcontractor.”

iii. Modify Inclusion 310: “Provide all piping, valves, gauges, booster pump and connection to irrigation piping as per detail on sheet P4.0. Irrigation piping connection to landscaping contractor’s line to be 5’ from exterior of building.”

iv. Add Inclusion 328: “Provide concrete housekeeping pads for plumbing items and equipment as required, including the concrete pad for the gas meter.”

g. Modify Bid Package 230000 HVAC: i. Add Inclusion 318: “Provide concrete housekeeping pads for HVAC items and

equipment as required.”

h. Modify Bid Package 260000 Electrical: i. Add Inclusion 353: “Provide concrete housekeeping pads for electrical items and

equipment as required.”

i. Modify Bid Package 310000 Site Demolition / Preparations: i. Add Specification Section: “32 11 23 Aggregate Base Course – As it pertains to

your scope of work” ii. Add Specification Section: “32 18 13 Synthetic Grass Surfacing – As it pertains to

your scope of work” iii. Add Inclusion 207: “Provide removal of underground conduit and wire as shown.

Disconnections by Electrical Contractor.” iv. Add Inclusion 208: “Provide dedicated dumpster and/or haul off for scope of work.”

j. Modify Bid Package 321800 Synthetic Turf:

i. Modify Inclusion 310: “Provide a complete concrete curb package for synthetic turf installation for this project in accordance with the contract documents. This shall include, but is not limited to all excavation, backfill, formwork, ties, rebar, mesh, fiber reinforcement, concrete, expansion joints, tool joints, saw cuts, caulking, sealant, etc.”

ii. Add Inclusion 313: “Provide 8” underdrain piping and new cleanout structure 211 with concrete collar to structure 203 including but not limited to all excavation, backfill, compaction requirements, etc.”

k. Modify Bid Package 330000 Site Utilities:

i. Modify Inclusion 302: “Provide 6” storm piping along east side of the concession building for connection of new downspouts 208 & 207 to new structure 209 and 6” piping from new structure 209 to new headwall 210.”
