11. Section 46 53 61

a. 3.08. B. – Water for testing of the oxidation ditch and other newly constructed basins is to be treated effluent diverted from the existing plant via pumping or temporary piping into the new influent lift station then to the new plant. The use of potable water for testing is not anticipated but may be used at the Contractor’s option. If potable water is used, Contractor will be responsible for paying all costs associated with providing it.

12. Section 43 25 10

a. 3.02. A. Delete requirement for factory testing.

13. Add the following item of equipment to be provided and delivered to the City of Auburn.

a. 1 – Each diesel driven, trailer mounted, self-priming, solids handling pump. The unit shall be rated to pump a minimum of 1,200 GPM at 130 feet TDH at 2,200 RPM engine speed. The pump shall have 4-inch suction and discharge and shall be capable of passing a 3-inch sphere, drawing at least 25 feet of suction prime, and operating in harsh outdoor conditions continuously pumping raw sewage at the design flow and head. The engine shall be a final tier IV, minimum 40-HP, diesel fueled engine with 12-volt electric start, electronic governor, auto start/stop controls and float switches, and a maximum fuel consumption of 2.0 gallons per hour at design conditions. The unit shall be mounted on a DOT approved trailer with trailer lights, 100 gallon fuel tank, pintle hitch, safety chains, torsion suspension, central lifting bail, and hose storage. 25 feet of 4-inch suction hose and 40 feet of 4-inch discharge hose shall be provided with all necessary valves and fittings, including a suction strainer, plug valve, elbows, adapters, and connection fittings matching the quick-disconnect risers to be provided at the flow equalization basin. The unit shall be delivered with a full tank of fresh fuel, warrantied for one year from the date of delivery and shall include 4 hours of on-site training in its operation and maintenance. The pumping unit shall be as manufactured by Thompson Pump, Godwin, Gorman Rupp or approved equal.

a. Do not include the cost of railroad flagmen or inspectors as referred to in the license agreement in the bid. If such services are required by R.J. Corman Railroad, the Owner will pay such costs directly, or reimbursement at cost will be made to the contractor by change order or use of allowance funds.
