iPad  Application  Manager  (for  installing  FREE  Apps)  

 

Open  iTunes  the  icon  is  on  the  bottom  of  your  screen  (see  below).    Select  “Store”    (Please  note  the  iPads  connected  will  show  up)  

 

You  will  use  the  MacBook  Air  associated  with  the  iPads  for  this  process.    There  should  be  a  logon  on  the  machine  –  lpsinstall  followed  by  a  number  or  letter.

Select  “App  Store”  at  the  top  of  the  screen.  

 

 

Search  the  Store  for  the  App  you  want  to  download.      

 

 

 

 

   

 

   

Use  the  Apple  ID  that  was  given  to  you  for  the  configurator  laptop.    Insert  the  password  given  to  you  by  Technology.    Call  7078  if  you  need  assistance.  

You  will  see  a  “Downloading”  message.    Wait  until  it  finalizes  to  continue.  

Try  to  download  the  iPad  app  instead  of  iPhone  apps  when  possible.

Go  to  the  desktop  and  select  “Apple  Configurator”  

Make  sure  all  devices  are  connected  

Click  on  Supervise  

Note  the  number  of  iPads  that  are  connected.    The    green  dot  means  they  the  configurator  sees  a  good  connection  between  the  iPad  and  the  server.

You  need  to  import  the  app  by  selecting  first  selecing  the  “+”  sign  at  the  bottom  of  the  dialogue  box  and  then  find  the  App  you  want  to  make  available.    Select  “Apps”  and  check  mark  the  App(s)  you  want  to  install  on  the  iPad.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select  “Apply/Refresh”  at  the  bottom  of  the  screen  to  start  the  installation.  

 

Ignore  the  yellow  triangles  that  will  appear  next  to  the  iPads.  

 

When  you  are  finished  with  the  App  management,  you  can  shut  down  the  Mac.    Click  on  the  Apple  in  the  upper  left  corner  of  the  screen  and  select  Shut  Down.  

 

You  may  be  asked  to  logon  again  with  your  Apple  ID  and  password  to  start  the  download  process.
