What is Addition?

• Addition is finding the total, or sum, by combining two or more numbers.

When do we use Addition?

• You want you give your 10 friends at school some candy. In your room you have 3 lollipops and 4 chocolate bars.

• How would you figure out if you have enough candy?

By using Addition!
