King of Hearts Honored Hero: Kellen Lulich

Kellen was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September 2015 at

the age of three. Over the past year, Kellen has been receiving chemo

treatment at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He has approximately two more

years of chemo treatment left.

Kellen’s favorite activities include playing with his younger brother Theo, his dog

Lucy, and his vast array of toys - Legos and superheroes. He has an incredible

memory and can recite every superhero action figure by name! Kellen is

fortunate to be surrounded by a tremendous support system — family, friends,

and neighbors— who help us as we continue to balance the rigors of treatment

with our professional roles at local Pittsburgh companies: Seubert & Associates

and 4moms.

The past year has been difficult for Kellen, but he has benefited from years of

research & progress which were the result of donations to organizations such as

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, geared toward fighting Leukemia and

blood cancer. It is both difficult and inspiring to watch children like Kellen tackle

the trials and tribulations related to this terrible disease, and that is why it is

imperative that we continue to support this great cause and help more

individuals like Kellen.
