Current admission process followed at Goa University.

Stage 1Collection of the application form from Goa University.

Stage 2 Fill in the details and submit before deadline.

Stage 3A form giving details of the time and date of interview will be then sent through post to the candidates.

Stage 4Admission procedure will then be held on the date mentioned. Students are required to be present with the CMAT score card.

Stage 5Names of selected students will then be put up on the Goa University web page along with date of payment of the required fees.

Stage 6Date of joining will be announced on the day the receipt of the fees is paid for.

Limitations in the currently followed admission process:

Admission process such as distribution of application form and letter regarding the date of interview is sent through post, which is delayed sometimes, causing inconvenience to the perspective candidates. Calls are not attended. During evaluation process 10th, 12th and 3rd year scores are not taken into consideration. Process is not followed systematically therefore causing confusion among the candidates.

An email notification from department will be sent within two weeks of submitting candidates application along with the required documents.

Information whether the candidate has been selected to interview on or before the interview decision deadline.

Interview will be then conducted in the Goa University Management department itself.

Once the Admissions Office receives feedback from the alumni interviewers. The Admissions Committee, comprised of faculty and alumni, decides whether to accept or reject each candidate.

Candidate will be advised by letter and email of the final decision on candidates application. The entire admissions process (from time of application) will take up to 3 weeks.

Candidates also required to upload a photograph of himself/ herself. ProfileThe candidates should fill in the respective data as required and should also print the copy of the same.The following supporting documents must be included in candidates application and received before or on the day of the application deadline Essays (compulsory) This is a critical part of our evaluation process. Candidates should spend a significant amount of time on candidates application essays. Candidates responses to the essay questions provide the best opportunity to be creative and tell us about candidate. The following data should also be mentioned in the essay: Reason for admission in Goa University Likes and Dislikes of the Candidate Positive and negative qualities of the candidate Aspiration and plans for the futureApplication fee A fee of Rs 1000 must be paid online with a Demand Draft of the same amount once candidate have submitted candidates application form.

CMAT OR CAT SCORES The application form should be accompanied with the CMAT or CAT score card. Minimum required scores CAT equal to or above 50 percentile and CMAT equal to or above 100. If candidate wish to send additional documentation by post, please mail to: Goa University Tailigao PlateauTiswadiGoa Candidates supporting documents must be received by the Admissions Office before or on the day of the application deadline Once candidate have submitted candidates application, candidate will receive an e-mail message including a PDF version of the information candidate sent. Instead, an email notification will be sent to candidate within two weeks of submitting candidates application. The notification will inform candidate whether candidates file is complete or if any components are missing. Candidate can also find out whether the online components of candidates application have been received by the Goa University website. This page will indicate the status of candidates application within two weeks of receiving candidates application.
