Furthermore, I have experience with cell culture techniques, 1D & 2D SDS PAGE, HPLC, Gram stain, haemocytometer, light microscopy, protein equilibration using Bradford Assay, optical analysis, biofluid fractionation & protein enrichment using thermal centrifuge, nanotraps, electrophoresis, ELISA. I have experience regarding reagent preparation, protein linearisation, trypsin digestion, speed vacuum operation, sample preparation for mass spectrometry and data analysis utilising various software packages (proteome discoverer, Max Quant, Scaffold and String). I am computer literate (ECDL holder) and an experienced Microsoft Office user (WORD, EXCEL & POWERPOINT). I have an excellent work ethic and work well, either individually or with a team. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette. I am highly motivated and extremely punctual. During my second summer 2014 project I was involved in collecting and preparing control saliva samples for subsequent comparison with samples from patients who were positive for Head & Neck Cancers. My responsibilities during this project were similar to those mentioned in the paragraph above with the addition of Griener Bio-one saliva collection protocol utility and test kit validation. During my summer 2015 project I continued an investigation into the possible utility of FN proteins to detect the presence of colorectal cancer (CRC) using human blood serum samples.
