Why Classifeds in sports pages?Why a classified section in a sportsmagazine? It seems a strange combination?

And indeed it probably is a pretty strange one,except when you see the logic behind ourthinking.

Sports, unlike leisure magazines or trademagazines do not focus just on a niche market.Better said they cater on a very globalised nichemarket, sports is an activity which crosses manysocial frontiers. A top director could be just aseasily be mingling with someone from theunemployment queues, and being an equal.There is very little class distinctions across themajority of the sports, and therefore it offers abroader market to advertisers when you look atthe potential demographics of the readers.
