HOW AFL WAS MADE

AFL first began in Melbourne in 1858. Tom Wills was the first man to organize a footy match. He’s idea was to keep the cricketers warm in winter. In 1859 some rules were written down and the first practise match played between Melbourne grammar school and Scotch College at the Richmond paddock. Three days later the Melbourne football club started.

DEFINITION OF AFL

Football is any of a number of games in which two teams attempt to score points by moving an inflated oval or round ball past a goal.
