ARIZONA STATE BOARD OF NURSING
NOTICE FOR REGULAR MEETING
November 14th and 15th, 2019, beginning at 8:00 A.M.
Arizona State Board of Nursing Board Room A
1740 W Adams Street Phoenix, Arizona 85007
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the general public and members of the Arizona State Board
of Nursing, that the Board of Nursing will hold a regular meeting open to the public at the Board’s offices, at 1740 W.
Adams Street Suite #2000, Phoenix, Arizona. The Board, upon a majority vote of a quorum of the members, may,
when necessary, hold an Executive Session to obtain legal advice regarding any of the agenda items, pursuant to
A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3). The Board upon a majority vote of quorum of the members may also hold an Executive
Session on agenda items II - VII to review confidential records exempt by law from public inspection, pursuant to
A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(2).
Those wishing to address the Board need not request permission in advance; however, the Board suggests that no
more than three (3) people address the Board during the “Call to the Public” on any one issue. Pursuant to A.R.S. §
38-431.02(H), the Board can take action only on matters listed on the agenda. Actions on public comment matters
that are not listed on the agenda will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or schedule the matter for further
discussion at a later date, if appropriate.
The agenda is posted on the Board’s website and is subject to change up to 24 hours prior to the meeting. Please call
602-771-7800 for any changes. Agenda items are noted by number and letter for convenience and reference. The
Board may address the agenda items in any order within the time frame indicated, and may set over matters to a later
time when necessary. The Board reserves the right to change the order of items on the agenda, except for matters set
for a specific time.
The recommendations listed on the agenda do not become final unless and until the Board adopts them. The
Board has the authority to accept, reject or modify any recommendation listed on the agenda. Agenda items
noted as shaded may be taken as a consent agenda item.
Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting
Joey Ridenour at 602-771-7801. Requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the
accommodation.

A public body may make an open call to the public during a public meeting, subject to reasonable time, place
and manner restrictions, to allow individuals to address the public body on any issue within the jurisdiction of
the public body. The Board may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be put on a future
agenda. Members of the public body shall not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an open
call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action. A.R.S. § 38-
