AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run organization, is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential for them to have a positive impact in society.

Local Chapters of AIESEC in BahrainAIESEC in Bahrain has two local chapters that are based out of a university (or a group of universities) and its members work voluntarily, and they are responsible for the functional operations of AIESEC:

• Leadership Program. • International Internship Program. • Project based on student mobility

AIESEC Manama is the first Local Chapters in Bahrain and one of the best Local Chapters in the Arabian Gulf region, established in 2006, local chapter Manama is known for its diverse active members who have always been taking a leading role in positive change and development!

AIESEC Skheer was established in 2010, and is exclusive to students and graduates from the University of Bahrain and universities outside the Kingdom.

Both local chapters conduct different projects, which aims the social development and the creation of Bahraini change agents to improve world one person at a time.

About the National ConferenceThe National Training Conference is a semi-annual conference held by AIESEC in Bahrain aiming to challenge its members to take the next step of developing their leadership potential.

More than 80 members gather to set strategic plans, review initiatives, undergo functional training, and grow their networks.

On the 3rd of February 2012, AIESEC in Manama hosted it's 5th edition of National Training Conference in Bahrain Polytechnic, a 3-day conference for more than 80 current members from both local committees.

The National Training Conference was chaired by Patrisha King the current Global Exchange Program & Communication Director of AIESEC Jordan for the term 11.12. As well it was facilitated by a unique team with different professional experiences and talents, which are:

The Conference began with an agenda that was set to review and analyze the current status of AIESEC in Bahrain, and where we as an entity want to go. The delegates got the idea why our vision of “Peace & Fulfillment of humankind potential”, and how it is relevant to us in Bahrain and hence the glob.

Moreover, the delegates learnt about proactive learning and critical thinking when it comes to problems and overcoming obstacles.

The second day of the conference was filled with knowledge and education from the members of AIESEC in Bahrain Board of directors, who inspired the delegates to step up their plans and practice new skills to develop their leadership skills. The workshops where facilitated by:

• Khalid Al Quod (Prince Management)o “PR and Branding”: A team activity about

cooperative learning.

• Amal Kooheji (Tamkeen)o “Situational Leadership”: Delegates learned about

the concept of situational leadership and how it categorizes employees in the workforce.

• Akbar Jaffari (Jafcon)o “Perseverance and Realizing Your Goals”: An

inspirational session about how important realizing your ambitions is.

On the last day of the conference Ines Baricevic (AIESEC in Bahrain President), Sara Hussain (AIESEC Manama President) and Muneera Mahmood (AIESEC Skheer President) challenge the current members to take the initiatives of winning the UBS MENA Excellence Award 2012. Moreover, the delegates pledged their commitment to the goals and stood up to speak their part of achieving it in the upcoming months.

The National Training Conference was successfully closed with a Gala Award Dinner, which was held in Elite Grand. The Gala Award Dinner was was hosted by the conference managers Eman Sultan and Amna Alkayer (Executive members of AIESEC Manama) and the announcement of the awards:

• Best Innovative Project. • Best Social Media Campaign.• Outstanding Customer Service Award.
