Setting:- Yellow taxis – America A fade transition causes the removal of the green background which fades into a building in the busy city streets of America, showing reflections of yellow taxis and smartly dressed people.

CAMERA ANGLE SHOTS & MOVEMENT

The very first view of the city is a camera angle which shows the city in the reflection of a building window, an establishing shot.

A group shot of the city emphasises how busy the street is which encourages the audience, once again, to wonder if the film is actually a thriller.

ATMOSPHERE & ENIGMA

The audience is unaware of who the main character is. All that the audience can assume is that he is a wealthy, fairly well-off businessman who appears to have a secretary.
