Survey was administered Spring 2008 Participants randomly selected Anonymous Electronic Survey n = 486 Response rate = 49% Next survey spring 2010

Incentives

All participants were entered into a drawing.

One person won an I-Pod Nano Video 8GB.

Five people won a $25 gift card to Best Buy

Five People won a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card.

Tragedy at UT

Within the previous 2 years two students have died from an alcohol or drug related tragedy

One was partying after exams, very intoxicated, vomited, and aspirated at home

Another, student was stressed, depressed, and committed suicide related to a drug overdose

Goal 1: Reduce the high-risk drinking

presentation put on by the SWAT team, including the presentation “Dying for a Drink”

UT Athletics is implementing a social norm marketing campaign Designed to correct misperceptions

pertaining to student alcohol consumption patterns
