Survey was administered Spring 2008 Participants randomly selected Anonymous Electronic Survey n = 486 Response rate = 49% Next survey spring 2010

Tragedy at UT

Within the previous 2 years two students have died from an alcohol or drug related tragedy

One was partying after exams, very intoxicated, vomited, and aspirated at home

Another, student was stressed, depressed, and committed suicide related to a drug overdose

presentation put on by the SWAT team, including the presentation “Dying for a Drink”
