alfasi asiaAlfasi Asia now have operational entities located in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Thailand. Alfasi’s Asian region headquarters relocated to Hong Kong in recognition of the forthcoming opportunities there.

Each entity consists of a fully established office complete with comprehensive management structures comprising technical, drafting, finance and administration personnel ready to undertake the most challenging opportunities.

Alfasi Asia has recently completed 26,000t of complex structural steel for the Marina Bay Sands Casino in Singapore.

The project entailed design, detailing, procurement, fabrication, and erection functions under direct Alfasi staff control. The fabrication was delivered utilising our own fabrication facilities in Australia as well as through alliance fabricators in Thailand,

Singapore and Malaysia. Alfasi inspectors, engineers and supervisors oversaw all operations within our alliance fabrication facilities.

In addition to structural steel packages, Alfasi Asia has completed a number of facade and building envelope packages. These include Kallang Leisure Centre and The Retail Promenade as well as The Arts and Science Museum Entrance at Marina Bay Sands Casino, Singapore.

Alfasi Asia has been awarded the iconic replica of the Eiffel Tower at the entrance to the new Venetian Parisian Casino Complex in Macau. This design and construct project consists of steel, concrete, facade and stainless steel elements. It’s the company’s fourth contract with the Sands Group following the successful delivery of 3 main projects for Sands in Singapore.

alfasi middle eastThe Qatar office has most recently completed a project at the New Doha International Airport, which involved the delivery of a number of discrete, highly complicated steel and cladding packages at the Emir’s personal terminal (VVIP Terminal) and the main entrance to the main building.

This project required the design and construction of many different structural forms and cladding elements. The structural forms included a geodetic dome, a prestressed cable net structure, a post tensioned fabric membrane and cable supported steel work as well as traditional truss and beam structures. Cladding elements included semi utilized glass and spandrel panels and highly detailed ceiling panel system on the dome, point fixed, laminated serigraphed glass on the cable net, bullet proof glass wall, PVC membrane to the post tensioned fabric membrane structure, and very large pre-cast concrete panels, curved

in shape to a highly architectural applied finish.

These were successfully delivered due to our ability to totally coordinate all interfaces between the steel and the cladding system, under a fully intergrated 3D design and detail model. All of these projects have a consistent trait in that there is considerable complexity of geometry, and the contiguity of the structural response during the various stages of erection, requiring rigorous analysis to ensure the as-built form honours the differing performance of each of the materials.

Alfasi Asia has a fully implemented Intergrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO9001, 14001 and 18001. It is also an Accredited Structural Steel Fabricator Category S1 and Facade Contractor S5 (highest categories) with the Singapore Government accreditation bodies.

alfasi facadesAs a natural progression from our experience, Alfasi has been operating in the glass and facade arena, particularly with unique structures requiring bespoke solutions.

These projects involve high levels of geometric or engineering complexity and they engage the full gamut of our engineering expertise.

Our strategy is to deliver fully coordinated and accurately constructed steel skeletons and state-of-the-art glass and panel cladding systems.

Our development team as well as clients can access fully integrated solutions that are ideal for complex shapes using our 3D computer-aided modeling software. In addition, our various divisions and in-house glass and facade expertise facilitate a unique delivery method for these kinds of projects.

alfasi design and draftingThe Alfasi Group’s shop detailing arm has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore, and has extensive experience in steel structures including complex architectural, mining, materials handlings and industrial buildings.

We provide shop detailing services for structural steel and other elements like precast panels, to clients outside of the Alfasi Group. This places us well to draw on our construction expertise and integration with various building elements using sophisticated 3D software such as ‘Tekla Structures’ X-steel and Autocad.

With our own dedicated management, Alfasi Design and Drafting can help projects in the design development, fabrication and site installation phases and can not only assist

in coordinating the steel design but also with adjoining elements like precast concrete, glass, facade and mechanical items.

We have extensive experience with working in design and construct environments. We also work closely with architects and engineers to develop and fast track structural steel detailing.

Alfasi Design and Drafting has provided drafting services, including on-the-ground modelling services, to a variety of clients in a variety of locations. Through our branches, Alfasi Design and Drafting can tap into additional resources through relationships we’ve established with other large shop detailing offices across Asia.
