Profile
A Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) with more than 15 years of engineering and design experience in active and passive fire protection
systems (water-based, water mist, fire alarm, gaseous suppression, wet chemical for kitchen hood and smoke control) in the GCC and
the Middle East including U.A.E, Qatar, K.S.A, Oman and Egypt. AlHassan is currently working as the Head of Fire Protection
Department at Manens-Tifs and managing one of the largest medical city projects in KSA, with a budget of almost US$ 8 billion.
AlHassan has an extensive experience managing high-profile projects in the GCC such as Abu Dhabi Airport, Jabaal Omar Project in
Makkah (38 5-star hotel towers), high rise buildings, and Gas/Oil Fields in UAE and Oman. He is an expert with most international
standards and codes for example, NFPA, IFC, IBC, API, FGI, BSI and Local Civil Defense Rules & Regulations, OSHA, Hazardous
Materials and Risk Assessment. Because of his knowledge of international standards, codes, market and technical specification of fire
protection equipment’s and devices, he was able to minimize project cost without any impact on life safety, fire protection systems, or
quality. I am professional membership of international associations eg. NFPA, SFPE, ICC, ASSE and PMI.
I have capability to evaluate fire protection systems, components and designs in order to evaluate loss control risks in commercial and
industrial, etc. buildings and occupancies per NFPA and IFC standards, to support the insurance companies.
I have excellent experience in Oil & Gas, Metro, Airport, Hospital, Education buildings and University, Hotel, Residential, Power
Station, Warehouse and Industrial Projects with Consultancy / Contracting and third party environment.
