INTRODUCTION
Rom 2:1-2 Do you, my friend, pass judgment onothers? You have no excuse at all, whoever you
are. For when you judge others and then do the
same things which they do, you condemn yourself.
2 We know that God is right when he judges the
people who do such things as these. GNT
In this book, man takes responsibility for all his
actions without apportioning blame to the devil or
anyone else. We know from the beginning that
the devil (the serpent) was the cause of man’s fallbut regardless of it, man was punished for his
disobedience. It was reasonable for Adam to
blame the woman and it was also reasonable for
the woman to blame the serpent, but regardless
of those excuses, they were still judged andpunished by God based on their individual
offenses.
Man is therefore blamed for whatever wrong
actions he takes irrespective of what or who

influenced him. Yes punishment is also reserved
for the tempter no doubt, but man must be
responsible for his own actions as well.
Man was held responsible for his disobedience at
the Garden of Eden. Man was held responsible for
the death of Abel. Man was held responsible for
the betrayal of Jesus. Who will be heldresponsible for the death of Jesus? Who killed
Jesus?
And again, what is the essence of Jesus to
mankind; His life, His death and His resurrection?
Will mankind be restored to his original state after
this life?
We will find the answers as we continue reading.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in His own image ;
in the image of God He created him; male and
female He created them. NKJV
The first man, Adam, was a living soul, created
with good nature only, in the image and likeness
of God, and he was to pass this nature to his
offspring, but he never did because he fell
(disobeyed), and his offspring were reproduced in
the likeness of his fallen nature till date. To say
that man was created in the image and likeness of
God, is a past event and applicable to only Adam
but not to his offspring. Adam’s offspring are notborn directly in the image and likeness of God, but
in the image and likeness of the fallen man.
Gen 5:3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty
years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after
his image, and named him Seth. NKJV
1 Cor 15: 48 As was the man of dust, so also are
those who are made of dust; and as is the
heavenly Man, so also are those who are
heavenly. NKJV

Adam fell because he chose to listen to his bone
and flesh rather than his true nature, God.
And when Adam fell, he took up another nature.
He took up the ability to know both good and evil
- life and death; truth and lie; blessing and curse;
peace and war; wealth and poverty; health and
sickness; marriage and divorce; success andfailure; immortality and mortality; faith and
doubt; love and hatred; friend and enemy; etc.
And he couldn’t put a demarcation between them
and he became constantly and totally evil (Gen
6:5). He emptied himself of good and became evil, for evil is simply emptiness of good. For example,
darkness is emptiness of light.
His fallen nature makes him feel exposed (unsafe)
and most times, he denies his very good natureand lives by his evil nature. God asked him,
“Adam, where are you?” He answered, “I was
afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. (Gen
3:10 NKJV)”. Who was Adam hiding from? He was
hiding from God, his true nature. Is it not

expected for Adam to embrace his true nature
whenever he hears Him or sees Him? Yes, but his
fallen nature will not allow him this time becauseevil is now resident with him.
THREE ATTRIBUTES OF FALLEN MAN
Gen 3:10 So he said, " I heard Your voice in the
garden, and I was afraid because I was naked ;
and I hid myself ." NKJV
Adam expressed three negative attributes when
he fell from God’s command
i. Fear.
The voice of God reveals the fear in the fallen
man. The voice of God is not meant to bring fear
but spirit and life. (John 6:63). The moment a man
becomes afraid of the word of God and wants to
avoid God, then that man needs to examine
himself. Adam wasn’t afraid to disobey the
command of God, but was afraid of his nakedness
when he heard the voice of God. When the

command of God in a man’s life is silenced by his
own desires, disobedience is imminent and
nakedness will follow. The fear that Adamexperienced here is not the fear of repentance
but the fear of guilt (blame, shame, regret). This
kind of fear is ungodly and takes one far away
from God, but repentance is from the Holy Spirit
which leads us back to God.
2 Cor 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance
leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the
sorrow of the world produces death. NKJV
Ex 20:20 And Moses said to the people, "Do not
fear; for God has come to test you, and that His
fear may be before you, so that you may not sin."
NKJV
ii. Nakedness.
This is spiritual nakedness. Adam had already
covered himself with apron made of fig leaves, yet
he felt naked. Not following the commands of
God gives birth to spiritual nakedness, the person

then feels exposed (vulnerable, insecure) which
leads to the ‘fear of the unknown’. The fear is not
just the fear of the enemy but the fear of beingexposed to the enemy. This exposure is the direct
implication of disobedience to the commands of
God. Any perception of such nakedness is an
indication that one is derailing and should repent
immediately from whatever it is that God is
drawing our attention to. It is not a time to
present ‘genuine’ reasons like Adam did, but a
time to repent. It is not even a time to cover up
like Adam did with fig leaves because such cover
up is another form of self-deception.
Prov 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will
have mercy. NKJV
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose
them. NKJV

Rev 19:8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given
her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous
acts of the saints.) NIV
iii. Hiding from God.
This is what the devil truly likes; for man to hide
from God, his creator, which is ridiculous for how
can man hide from omnipresent God. However,
hiding from God is an outcome and not a cause. It
is not a reason but the outcome of one’s
disobedience to the commands of God. One who
has made up his mind to obey God draws close to
God and God draws close to him. But one who
continues to do evil hides from God; he refuses to
come to the light because his deeds are evil. His
hiding from God is because of his evil deeds.
John 3:20 For everyone practicing evil hates the
light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds
should be exposed. NKJV
Isa 1:18-20 "Come now, and let us reason
together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are

like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as
wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and
rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the
mouth of the Lord has spoken. NKJV
GOD SPEAKS TO FALLEN MAN
Notice that God speaks to fallen man. God was
still speaking to Adam even when he had fallen.
Any man whether a believer or an unbeliever who
says that God doesn’t speak to him is not being
sincere to himself. The question is, will the man
hear and repent or will he hear and give ‘genuine’
excuses?

Gen 3:11-14 And He said, "Who told you that you
were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of
which I commanded you that you should not eat?" 12 Then the man said, "The woman whom You
gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I
ate." 13 And the Lord God said to the woman,
"What is this you have done?" The woman said,
"The serpent deceived me, and I ate." 14 So the
Lord God said to the serpent: "Because you havedone this , You are cursed more than all cattle, And
more than every beast of the field; On your belly
you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of
your life. NKJV
Notice that God asked both the fallen man and
the fallen woman the reasons why they
disobeyed, but He never asked the serpent (the
devil) why he disobeyed. This is because nobody
tempts the serpent; he just decides by himself tooriginate and influence disobedience. Well, man,
woman and the serpent all faced their individual
punishments and consequences.

Rom 1:32-2:1 Although they know God's righteous
decree that those who do such things deserve
death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice
them. 2 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who
pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever
point you judge the other, you are condemning
yourself, because you who pass judgment do the
same things. NIV
God was speaking to the fallen man but instead of
him to repent immediately and embrace God his
true nature, he went into defending himself and
even blaming the very woman (virgin) that Godmade for him to help him. Adam didn’t see
himself as responsible, and as a result the ground
that was once a blessing to Adam became cursed
because of his disobedience.
Gen 3:17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you
have heeded the voice of your wife, and have
eaten from the tree of which I commanded you,
saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the

ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All
the days of your life. NKJV
Adam can no longer be what he ought to be
because of the known evil in the world around
him which now affects him.
His judgment about his life is now based on
circumstances and not on the source of his
existence because his connection to the source is
now broken. He sees every other thing as his main
enemy not minding his own disobedience. His
true nature is no longer the reality to him. The
reality he knows now is what happens around him
which he was supposed to be in control of, but he
is being controlled by them. For this reason, he
can’t boldly say “I am good” or “I am in charge”.
Adam who once lived in a Garden is now toiling toeat. Death is now possible.
But can Adam be delivered from evil? Is there a
way out for man?

MAN AND THE LAW
Yes, God has plan for man’s redemption. There
was a way out for man through the law of Moses.
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam
to Moses, even over those who had not sinned
according to the likeness of the transgression of
Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.NKJV
The law was a certain light. Man and indeed
mankind could only see the way out of evil with a
light. He has to be shown his present conditionand the way out of it through the law. The law
came to define sin for man. (Rom5:13). The law
became a guide as a “tutor” (Gal 3:24 NKJV), to
enable man separate ‘good’ from ‘evil’ and for
him to choose ‘good’ and then “overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21 NKJV)”. The law preserved
man and stopped the reign of death. But the law
could only take him that far because man sees
things like shadows through the law.

16
Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the
good things to come, and not the very image of
the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make
those who approach perfect. NKJV
Besides, man doesn’t want to be controlled by the
law because he was created to be in charge. So herevolts and tramples the law.
John 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, yet
none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill
Me?" NKJV
But the law cannot be broken or trampled upon
once it is enacted, because it was enacted by an
agreement (covenant) between man and God.
The law was to be obeyed so that man can be
restored, but man disobeyed the law and justice
demands that he must be punished. And what
was the punishment? Death! Man must die by the
law, because he breaks the law by persisting in
evil.

Rom 6:21 … For the end of those things is death.

And death in this essence is total emptiness of
God, total separation of man from God forever
because he disagrees with God.

Who will save man from this predicament of
death? Someone has to fulfill the law on behalf of
man to save him from this emptiness and restorehim to his true nature forever.
Matt 5:17-18 "Do not think that I came to destroy
the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy
but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle
will by no means pass from the law till all is
fulfilled. NKJV
That person must be an example for man to
follow. Who is that person? He is the true nature
of man, the image of God. So man must be saved
by his original self, the image of God (2Cor.4:4)
and God reflects Himself through His Word. Then
God, through a woman (virgin), man’s helper, sentHis Word, the true Light to redeem man and show
him the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Gal 4:4-5 4 But when the fullness of the time had
come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman,

born under the law, to redeem those who were
under the law, that we might receive the adoption
as sons. NKJV
God’s Word became flesh and He called Him ‘His
only begotten Son’ , the true man, the express
image of God. So the image of God came down
and dwells among the fallen man but fallen mandid not recognize Him.
John 1:10-11 He was in the world, and though the
world was made through him, the world did not
recognize him. He came to that which was his
own, but his own did not receive him. NIV
THE DEATH OF MAN
Fallen man has forgotten his true nature.
However, the true man being the Word of Godwas expressive and full of good works; there was
no evil in Him.

John 14:30 I will no longer talk much with you, for
the ruler of this world is coming, and he has
nothing in Me. NKJV
Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who
cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was
in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
NKJV
But because man, due to his fallen nature, did not
understand Him, man betrayed Him and killed
Him.
Matt 17:22-23 Now while they were staying inGalilee, Jesus said to them, " The Son of Man is
about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and
they will kill Him , and the third day He will be
raised up." And they were exceedingly sorrowful.
NKJV
But man did not know that killing the true man is
also killing himself, because the true man is the
source of man. (None of the rulers of this age
knew; 1Cor.2:8). So man unknowingly killed
himself in killing the true man. Hence man

executed the judgment of death upon himself
according to the law by crucifying the true man on
the cross. “For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. (Gal. 2:19)”.
2 Cor 5:14-15 For Christ's love compels us, because
we are convinced that one died for all, and
therefore all died . And he died for all, that thosewho live should no longer live for themselves but
for him who died for them and was raised again.
NIV
The penalty of death according to the law is now
paid (Rom6:23). The law is now fulfilled. “I have
been crucified with Christ (Gal.2:20 NKJV)” .
Man is totally emptied of God or totally separated
from God forever. The true man saw the agony
and the burden of this separation as He was about
to die on the cross and He cried, “My God, my
God, why have you forsaken me? (Matt 27:46)”

THE RESURRECTION OF THE TRUE MAN
Acts 13:28 They found no legal reason to execute
him, but they asked Pilate to have him killed
anyway. NLT
Because the true man is innocent and didn’t break
the law that warrants His death, justice demands
that His life should be given back to Him, and of
course with compensations.
Rev 5:12 In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the
Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and
wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and
glory and praise!" NIV
So the true man, the image of God, resurrected.
The true man, the image of God, is back to life
because He is innocent and the fallen man, as far
as this world is concerned, is completely dead
because he is guilty.
What next?

Now, when any descendant (offspring) of the
fallen man believes in the death and resurrection
of Jesus Christ, that man dies to self, and at that
instance, he will see his terrible and God forsaken
state and as he asks for mercy, his sins will be
blotted out and Christ will resurrect in him to
vanquish the evil nature (flesh) in him and prevent
him from being taken and kept in hell and then
give him a new life (new creation). The new life is
now the combination of Christ and the evil nature
(flesh) in man. For whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:13).

“Your life is hidden with Christ in God”
The offspring’s life (self) which he died to when he
believed in Christ is now safely hidden in God and
he will now begin to live for the true man instead.
The offspring is alive again or born again with the
nature of the true man by faith.
Who is this true man? He is the Word of God and
to distinguish Him, God gave Him a name – Jesus
Christ. He is the last Adam, the life-giving Spirit. (1
Cor 15:54). And this life is eternal; hence the
offspring cannot die again as long as he believes in
Jesus Christ. So now it is no longer about the
believer living for his own life but about living for
only one man, Jesus Christ the savior. And living
for Jesus Christ is what Christianity is all about.
2 Cor 5:15 And he died for all, that those who live
should no longer live for themselves but for him
who died for them and was raised again. NKJV
Gal. 2: 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no

life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in
the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself
for me. NKJV
But any offspring of the fallen man who disagrees
with the death and resurrection of Jesus and asks
not for mercy, his sins remain and he is separated
from God forever because of unbelief . But it’s notthe will of God for man to be separated eternally
from Him.
John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For
God did not send his Son into the world to
condemn the world, but to save the world through
him. NIV
Are you an offspring of the fallen man and
overwhelmed by evil desires that are contrary to
God? This redemption plan is for you! With all
sincerity, believe in the death and resurrection of

up your mind to live for Jesus Christ. The message
of the cross is the power of God unto salvation.
1 Cor 1:18 For the message of the cross is
foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us
who are being saved it is the power of God. NIV
Rom 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God for the salvation of
everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for
the Gentile. NIV
Acts 13:40-41 Be careful! Don't let the prophets'
words apply to you. For they said, 'Look, youmockers, be amazed and die! For I am doing
something in your own day, something you
wouldn't believe even if someone told you about
it.' NLT
2 Cor 5:17-19 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all
things are of God, who has reconciled us to
Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the
ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was

in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not
imputing their trespasses to them, and has
committed to us the word of reconciliation. NKJV
DEATH STILL AT WORK
Now we see that the offspring of the fallen man,
who believes, dies to self to live for the true man
in reconciliation with God, but the offspring of the
fallen man, who doesn’t believe, still dies and be
separated from God eternally. Whichever way,
there is still death in both cases but to different
ends. So death is still reserved and in operation
for both the salvation of believers and for the
condemnation of the unbelievers till the
appointed time when death will be swallowed up
in victory.
On what ground will death be swallowed up in
victory? What is the divine agreement
(covenant) between God and man for the
resurrection of man when Christ returns?

Matt 16:25 For whoever desires to save his life will

Resurrection is for the dead. The hope for the
‘resurrection of life’ for those who believe in Jesus
Christ lies in their continuing to remain dead to
self and refusing to return to their vomit, and
allowing the life of Christ, His righteousness, to
dominate them completely.
Thus, Christ is not coming back for those He died
for, but for those who died to self for Him.
Being dead in Christ means losing two things forChrist;

TAKE UP YOUR CROSS
Jesus said "If anyone desires to come after Me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily , and follow Me”. Meaning that once there is desire to
follow Christ with self denial, the next thing you
face daily is your cross. Note that self denial is
only possible because we have first died to self
when we believed in Christ.

Cross is for execution. Carrying your cross daily is
for daily execution of the flesh. The flesh always
does something that warrants its execution ondaily basis. So there is no end to your daily cross,
but there is sure victory one day at a time as we
follow. When we begin to carry our cross, we
begin to be spiritually disciplined and experience
victory.
Note that it’s not just about taking up your cross
daily, but about following Christ as you’re carrying
your cross daily. Christ is the focus and we must
avoid the temptation of being distracted by ourcross when we’re following Him.
Instead of complaining about our daily cross, we
should rather trust Him to see us through. And He
will see us through because He is both the authorand the finisher.

finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set

shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God. NKJV
For every cross, there is a set joy. And our
strength to endure our cross, despising the
shame, is in the joy set before us by God – most
especially the joy to know His will and spend
eternity with Him in His kingdom.

FIVETHE RESTORATION OF MAN

Summarily, Adam’s sin brought death. All died
because all sinned. This process has to be
reversed for man to be restored to his originalstate.
As we have seen, the death of Jesus Christ
brought our redemption (pardon for our sins &
second chance), the resurrection of Christ broughtnew life (power over sin) and the second coming
of Christ will bring our resurrection (restoration to
original state, immunity to death).
When God created man, man was a living soul
with good nature only. But when man sinned, he
became a living soul with both good and evil
nature (flesh) which led to death. Death in this
essence, means God withdrawing His nature
(good nature) from man at the end of man’s life.
Eccl 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as
it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave
it. NKJV

At death when God withdraws the good nature
from man, man will be left with the evil nature
only, which drags him to hell, where evil is keptand punished for disobedience. Man in hell has no
good nature at all, but full of evil only. That’s why
there is no form of repentance in hell at all but
guilt (regrets).
When Christ died, he redeemed man from this
death by himself dying for man and conquered
the evil that drags and keeps man in hell because
He lived a sinless life and was sacrificed for that
purpose. Christ alone, on behalf of man, conquered the power of sin that takes and keeps
man in hell. He triumphed over them.
And as earlier stated, when any man believes in
the death and resurrection of Jesus, that man diesto self and is raised with Christ and at that
instance Christ will appear in him to vanquish the
evil nature in him and prevent him from being
taken and kept in hell and then give him a new
life. The new life (new creation) is the

combination of Christ and the evil nature (flesh) in
man.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him
through baptism into death, that just as Christ
was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness
of life. NKJV
In this newness of life, the war is between Christ
(Spirit) and the evil nature (flesh) of man and the
victory is certain because Christ has power over
evil and had defeated them once and for all as a
perfect example for all.
Gal 5:16-18 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you
shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh
lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so
that you do not do the things that you wish. NKJV
Now if the believer (the new man) allows Christ to
continue to dwell in him, he will be freed of evil
nature and then be restored to God. It is not a

question of Christ winning the war, but it’s a
question of man giving Christ grounds in his new
life by continuing to renew his mind with theWord of God and obey His commands.
Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by
the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which isyour reasonable service. 2 And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will
of God. NKJV
Heb 10:38-39 Now the just shall live by faith; But if
anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in
him." 39 But we are not of those who draw back
to perdition, but of those who believe to thesaving of the soul. NKJV

disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free." NKJV

The truth which sets free from the slavery of evil
is made known to the believers who abide in the
word (teachings, commands) of Jesus Christ. Thetruth is revealed to them as they obey the
teachings of Jesus Christ. But if one’s life is not in
accordance with the teachings of Jesus, the truth
will be hidden from him and he will never know
freedom from the slavery of evil. The person
continues to be controlled by the dictates of the
flesh.
Knowledge of the truth unleashes the truth to
illuminate our lives and separate us from evil. Andwhen the believer abides in this victory through
Christ by obeying His commands, God will
resurrect him in the last day at Jesus’ return.

Each in his own turn, God will return man’s good
nature (that was hidden in God, Col3:3) to him
and will be allowed to eat from the tree of lifewhich will enable him to live forever in that state.
This is the restoration of man; man being able to
live his own life again, with his good nature only
forever, as was planned by God from the
beginning.
Rev 2:7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes
I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in
the midst of the Paradise of God."' NKJV
At man’s restoration, death will be swallowed up
in victory.
1 Cor 15:54-55 When the perishable has been
clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal
with immortality, then the saying that is written
will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in
victory." 55 "Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?" NIV

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and
savior, please pray the prayer below:
Father, I am a sinner. Forgive me all my sins and come
into my life. I believe that Jesus died for me on the
cross and resurrected to give me a new life. Lord Jesus,
I accept you as my Lord and savior. Help me to
overcome my challenges. I have decided to follow you
for the rest of my life. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’
name. Amen.
Rom 10:9-11 Because if you acknowledge and confess
with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart
believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that
God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to,
trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified
(declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the
mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him
[who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever]
be put to shame or be disappointed. AMP

Ossai Williams works in a bank presently. He struggled
with his faith in the early stage of his university
education and got backslidden for 13 years. At a point
he could no longer understand the essence of Jesus
Christ to mankind and his own role to play to enjoy
freedom as a believer in Christ. His spiritual life was
miserable. In 2009, he got in contact with a beloved
brother, a medical doctor by profession, who taught
him the way of the Lord properly, and he began to seek
the Lord effectively. Since then he began to overcome
his challenges step by step through the revelation of
God’s word and ever since has continued to growstrong in the Lord. The insight in this book is part of the
revelations of God’s word he received from the Lord in
his journey out of the backslidden state.
Ossai Williams is married with three children and
currently resides in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The only successful life that overcomes the devil in
this world is the life of Jesus Christ - the last Adam.
The devil never got Jesus to disobey God in any point.
But the first Adam disobeyed God which also affected
his descendants (offspring).
Jesus came to redeem us. He showed us the way, the
truth and the life. He died in our place in exchange for
His own life. When we believe in Him, we get saved.
Like a treasure hidden in the vault of a bank, our own
life is saved (hidden) with Christ in God.
We then deny ourselves and live for Jesus to
overcome this world by following His footsteps - His
exemplary life. And when we succeed like Jesus, we
shall be given to eat from the tree of life and we shall
gain the higher life and live freely in the new world
eternally to the glory of God.
Matt 10:39 Those who try to gain their own life will
lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will
gain it. GNT
In this world, we live by faith in Christ for victory over
the world and for our resurrection to life - restoration
to our original state, immunity to death - as planned
