From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Partin All Stars,

We have completed our first 100 days of school and only 80 more days to go! It has been wonderful seeing so many families

coming in for our All Star Data Sharing Days. Our fifth graders started the data sharing on January 19 with a 5th Grade Data Day

Treasure Hunt. The students had their parents exploring the classroom and their data notebooks for treasures on individual

growth and achievements. Next, first grade celebrated 100 days of learning on January 24 and had the parents taking a quiz to

see how much they knew about first grade and their data. Our 2nd graders on January 26 got to enjoy cocoa and cookies as

they had data conversations with their parents. On Friday, February 2 our 4th grade had Data and Dining and parents were in-

vited to stay for lunch after learning about their child’s academic goals. This Friday, February 9, our third graders will share

Wax and Stats where they will dress as a person in history while also sharing their own data history with their parents. We end

our data sharing with kindergarten’s Love, Learning and Lunch on February 14. Research shows that when students track their

own data, they perform better. It helps students be more organized, intrinsically motivated, and accountable for their own

learning. Thank you for taking an active roll in your child’s education.
