Friday 29 May 2015 EVENING ALL INDIA WEATHER SUMMARY AND FORECAST BULLETIN  Monsoon Watch    The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continue to pass through Lat 06.0°N/ Long. 60.0°E,  06.0°N/ Long. 70.0°E, Lat. 07.0°N/ Long. 80.0°E Lat. 10.0°N/ Long. 86.0°E, Lat. 13.0°N / Long. 89.0°E and Lat. 18.0°N / Long. 95.0°E.  Significant weather observations   Thunderstorms have been observed at isolated places over Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya, Tripura, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep between 0830 to 1430 hours IST of today.    Heat wave conditions were prevailed at a few places over Vidarbha and at isolated places over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Telengana.  Main Weather Observations    Rainfall: (From 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today ): Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, West Madhya Pradesh,Telangana, Rayalaseema and  Coastal & South Interior Karnataka. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 IST of  today are: Cherrapunji-15; Pet Jorhat-8; Rangia-6;  Long Islands-5; North Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Majbat-4 each; Hut Bay, Itanagar, Dibrugarh and Guwahati- 3 each; Passighat, Mayabandar, Deomali, Golaghat, Tangla,Goalpara, Haflong and Silchar-2 each.    Minimum temperatures are above normal by 3 - 4°C at many places over East Rajasthan; at a few places over West Rajasthan, interior Karnataka and Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Telengana. They are below normal by 3 - 4°C at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 46.5°C was recorded at Bhawanipatna (Odisha).  Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of  Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, south Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside West Rajasthan and Gujarat Region.  Forecast and Warning for any day is valid from 0830 hours IST of day till 0830 hours IST of next day For more details kindly visit  www.imd.gov.in or contact : +91 11 24631913, 24643965, 24629798 (Service to the Nation since 1875)
