Christmas 2016 Dear Folks: Peace, Time continues to move like a swift flowing river. Where we were yesterday seems far away and tomorrow rushes at us before we are ready.
Christmas is an island in the stream. It is a place to rest from the rivers of time, of busyness, of fret, of frantic activity.
The Nativity is a feast of repose, of quiet, of family, of home, of Holy Peace. But this peace is contingent upon our turning to God and recognizing the significance and grace of His gift of the Christ.
That the Lord humbled himself to abide as a human being even unto death is the great mystery and hope of our faith. I re-mind all to make time for prayer this holiday (not just Mass).
I strongly recommend that the prayer be shared as a family.
My prayer is for you. My service is for you. My life is yours. All of this is the grace of my vocation. May God’s grace be equally of guidance to you and yours.
