11 JUNE 2015 Angola: Parliament Speaker Invites Brazilian Counterpart to Visit Angola Luanda — The Speaker of National Assembly (AN), Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, has invited the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, Eduardo Cunha, to visit Angola, under the friendly and cooperation relations. The Brazilian ambassador to Angola, Norton de Andrade Rapesta, announced this Thursday to the press at the end of a meeting with the Speaker, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos. "The Angolan Speaker Fernando da Piedade asked me to invite his Brazilian counterpart to visit Angola in the second half of this year. It is a joy to be the spokesman for the invitation intended to further expand excellent relations at Parliamentary field, "he said. According to Brazilian diplomat, the coming of Eduardo Cunha to Angola will allow the strengthening of relations between the two countries and learn of the Angola gains in terms of development, growth and welfare. On the other hand, he explained that the meeting aimed at strengthening the cooperation at the level of Parliamentary Assembly of the Portuguese Speaking Community Countries (CPLP). Brazil will chair next year Parliamentary Assembly of (CPLP), while Angola holds the post of secretariat of the institution.
