Dear Alce Member,

I remember the first time I took a role in AIESEC…. It was waaaayyyy back in 2006. . Those were very different times: We

didn’t have the tools we have now and they didn’t send the guide we’re sending you now; so, take advantage of it. I

remember I was kind of a random member, going here and there smiling and saying hi; but as I got more and more

involved, I discovered all the potential that I was wasting and I decided to give it a serious try (Best decision ever!), It took

me about 4 months to discover that, but it was right on time. After a very good job on my role, I applied for a coordination

and I got it, three months later I was applying for VP and two months later I was elected as VP of my area. I can’t imagine

what would have happened to me if I hadn’t taken such roles, but from the experience I can tell it is the right choice to do,

challenge and prove yourself, and it’s, off course, about learning and development.

You see? Most of the people wait forever for AIESEC to develop them (and they will wait forever), meanwhile, some of us

go for the challenge. It doesn’t matter how far and big and scary looks like, because we know it will be the best chance to

develop ourselves and the opportunity of going for more opportunities. And I can tell! It took me five years to be LCP,

and during this time I discovered the key to reach your goals, don’t give up and take every opportunity you can (you never

know where you might end). Have a clear north and establish a path to connect opportunities. But remember, sometimes

the opportunities doesn’t have the “OPPORTUNITY” tag shinning for you, you have to keep your eyes and mind open.

My final message to you is give yourself a chance to develop your skills and your leadership; I guarantee you’ll not regret it.

La persona que este aplicando a TL dentro de un área específica debe tener claro las estrategias que va utilizar

para lograr cumplir con los objetivos planteados para dicha coordinación.

Esta entrevista se realizara en un espacio virtual o personalmente con el VP a cargo del área al que este

aplicando.
