Recipe: How to make Almond Milk

Ive been browsing through recipes and noticed almond milk is a popular ingredient in lots of Raw recipes so I decided to make it :) Itsprobably the easiest recipe Ill ever give you ;)

You need:

Unsalted Almonds

Water

( optional: You can add sweetener like stevia, and some vanilla if you want to make it sweeter)

Equipment:

Blender

A sieve or coffee filter

How to:

1. Soak the almonds in water overnight. This makes them softer and easier to grind.

2. Rinse them under running water and drain. Pop them into a blender and fill it half way up with cold pure water. Blend!

3. Now to the part where yoiu need to seperate the almonds from the milk. I was lucky enough to have a sieve with really small holes, butif you dont have that then you can use a coffee filter or anything like that. Squeeze out the milk from the almonds so that youre left withalmost dry almond flour in the end. You dont want any of the almonds to go through to the milk. The dry almond mix you end up with inthe end is perfect for adding into smoothies or cookies or anything like that :)

Thats all. How easy was that? When my boyfriend came home an hour ago he was so impressed that I had actually made milk, and it wasreally delicious together with the dark chocolate I made yesterday which I will give you next :) Who knew raw could be so easy?
