LAST DAY OF TERM 2017 / FIRST DAY OF TERM 2018 The students’ last day at school for 2017 is this Friday 15 December. The first day back for students next year is Tuesday 30 January 2018. Kindergarten students will start on Friday 2 February 2018.

CLASSES 2018 On our current numbers we will have 9 classes for next year. When students return to school on Tuesday 30 January 2018, they will remain in their 2017 classes for the first two days and will be put into their new classes during the day on Thursday 1 February. On Friday 2 February 2018 all students will be in their new classes. During these first two days, students will be taught in most cases by their 2017 teachers. At the start of the year we often learn of families who have moved out during the holidays and new families who have moved to the area. This extra time will allow for numbers to settle and appropriate classes to be formed. Kindergarten begins on Friday 2 February 2018. FAREWELL YEAR 6 We wish our leaving Year 6 the very best in high school next year and hope they take many memories with them from their primary school days. YEAR 6 FAREWELL Tomorrow night from 6-9pm, the Year 5 and Year 6 students will dance the night away with the staff at the Richmond Golf Club, Richmond. We will farewell Year 6 in great style with the room beautifully decorated by the parents. Thank you to Ms King and Mrs Hopper for all their preparation and organisation for the evening. YEAR 6 GRADUATION ASSEMBLY Our Year 6 Graduation assembly will be held in the hall Thursday 14 December at 2.45pm. They will receive their graduation certificates followed by the traditional walk through the student tunnel. All parents, family and friends are invited. HAWKESBURY HIGH MADD NIGHT

Congratulations to the students who participated in the Hawkesbury High MADD evening last week. Ella played the flute in the combined band and Marcus and Renee were

involved in the drama performance of The Grinch. These students have taken up the opportunity to be involved in free music and drama lessons provided by Hawkesbury High throughout the year. KEYBOARD PERFORMANCES On Wednesday morning of last week our keyboard students who have been having lessons during the year, showed off their talents in a concert. Congratulations to those students who have worked hard all year in their lessons YEAR 6 MINI FETE Thank you to all the parents and families who supported the Year 6 mini fete last Friday. The students had a wonderful time with lots of laughter. The students raised $1000 during the day.
