    I am new to ALTERNI products. I started o with a ew o your

    products and got introduced to NACOX or my pain.

    I took NACOX recently when I sprained my lower back, wrist and

    ankle joints due to a all the pain was excruciating. I took NACOX

    or ew days and noticed the pain reduced tremendously and it is

    now more manageable.

    ON the 3rd o June this year, my atherpassed away. He had been operated on or ableeding tumour on the 11th o May.

    All seemed well. He recovered amazinglywithin the rst ew days o the operation.Then, on the th day, we noticed aninection coming rom the ailure o thestomach wall to heal properly. This resulted ina leak which caused the inection.

    Skin is tough and generally impermeable to

    The skin also secretes antibacterialsubstances o its own. These substancesexplain why you dont wake up in the

    morning with a layer o mould growing onyour skin -- most bacteria and spores thatland on the skin die quickly.

    Your nose, mouth and eyes are alsoentrances or germs. Tears and mucuscontain an enzyme (lysozyme) that breaksdown the cell wall o many bacteria.

    Saliva is also anti-bacterial. The many germsthat get past the saliva deence are stopped

    CHILDREN who eschew many o the stapleso modern medicine, such as vaccines andantibiotic are less likely to develop atopicallergies.

    According to new Swedish research, whichcompared 295 children rom two RudolSteiner schools near Stockholm with 380children rom ordinary schools in thesame area, the children who ollowed an

    anthroposophic liestyle associated withRudol Steiner had less than hal the atopicdisease (allergic type skin and breathingdisorders) o the children in ordinary schools.

    Only 13 percent o the Steiner children hadatopic disease, compared with 25 percent ochildren at the control schools.

    The dierence between the two groups was

    most pronounced or atopic dermatitis andbronchial asthma. Only 3.1 percent o childrenin the Steiner schools had reported a wheezein the six months beore the study, comparedwith 7.6 percent o the control children.

    Asthma cases reported by a doctor amongthe Steiner children (2.7 percent) were lessthan one third o the percentage o casesamong the control children (9.5 percent).

    The researchers concluded that the reasonor the lower incidence o allergy amongthe Steiner children had mostly to do with atendency among their amilies to use ewerconventional drugs and to eat more oods

    with live lactobacilli, which may enhanceintestinal microora.

    O the Steiner children, 52 percent had hadantibiotics, compared with 90 percent o theordinary children, and only 18 percent wereimmunised with the measles, mumps andrubella combined vaccine (MMR), comparedwith 93 percent in the ordinary schools.

    Sixty three percent o the Steiner childrenconsumed ermented vegetables containinglive lactobacilli, compared to only 4.5 percento the control children.

    ALTHOUGH day care centres and kindergartenmay increase the risk o colds at a young age,it may prevent colds when children are older.

    Parents o preschoolers who are rustratedby their childrens requency o colds andthe lack o an eective treatment or thecommon cold should take heart in knowingthat their children are developing immunitywhich will protect them against similar

    illnesses in the uture.

    To investigate, Ball and his colleaguesconducted a long-term ollow-up study o991 children rom birth to 13 years.

    Overall, children who attended large daycare centres had more requent colds at twoand three years o age than their peers whowere enrolled in small day care centres, and

    children in small day care centres had morerequent colds at those ages than those inhome care.

    Children cared or in large day care centres were90 percent more likely to have requent coldsthan their peers who were cared or at home.

    Yet, by six to 11 years o age, the childrenwho had been enrolled in large day carecentres were reportedly 60 to 70 percent

    less likely to have requent colds than theirat-home peers.

    The children cared or at home had a similarnumber o colds at those ages as the childrenin small day care centres.

    At 13 years o age, however, all three groups ochildren were at similar risk o requent colds.Similar trends were observed or a length otime in day care, the researchers note.

    Children who attended large day care centres

    or two years or longer had a 70 percentgreater risk o requent colds at two and threeyears o age and a 70 - 80 percent decreasedrisk o requent colds at ages eight through11 than their peers who attended large daycare centres or less than one year.

    Again, by age 13, both groups had a similarrisk o requent colds.

    common childhood maladies, such as thecommon cold, but this is an inevitable part othe development o their immune systems.Whether they acquire that immunity duringpreschool or in primary school it will beacquired on their way to a healthier uture.

    AN analysis o 35 dierent scientic studieshas identied no ewer than 15 negativehealth eects associated with watching longhours o television.

    Among these eects are cancer, autism andAlzheimers disease.

    For most people, watching television nowtakes up more time than any other singleactivity except work and sleep. By the age osix, the average child has already spent a ullyear in ront o a television screen.

    I time in ront o a computer is added,watching a screen is now the dominantactivity or older children; those aged 11 to15 now spend 55 percent o their wakinglives, or seven and a hal hours a day,

    watching television and computers. This is a40 percent rise over the course o a decade.

    The study also drew a link between watchingtelevision and reduced levels o the hormonemelatonin, which regulates the bodysinternal clock and governs developmentduring puberty. This could explain bothatigue among adolescents and a disturbingtendency towards early puberty which has
