Introduction Amadeus Offers allows you to store and exchange travel proposals with travelers via a central, cross-channel facility. Automated processes replacing time-consuming workarounds that deliver impressive productivity gains, reducing the average time spent on trip management by as much as 60%. Offers are created and stored in a single PNR, and the details can be easily exchanged with the traveller via e-mail using the Offer Notice. Once validated, an offer can be confirmed into a booking in a single transaction. Creating offers gives the traveller a choice between different trips. For example, with same origin and destination but with different classes of travel or at different times of the day. Offers are quotations of Air or Hotel bookings, with no guarantee of price or availability until the offer has been confirmed. Amadeus offers allow you to create offers in PNRs and send the offer details to customers. Once the customer has selected one or more offers, you confirm the offer into a firm booking in the PNR.

Conditions to Create an Offer Offers can be created under the following conditions.

User must have the right to access the PNR

PNR must be active (If all the booked air segments of a PNR are flown, no offer can be added)

Offer must be compatible with segment status code. For Air Offers, supported segments are: Confirmed, staff, HN and NN. Offer creation on passive status code is not possible.

Offer must be compatible with segment type (segment type must not be open, ARNK, informational, service, ghost, passive or negotiated)

Offer is not created if number of air segments is greater than the number authorized (12 per offer)

Priced segment(s) must be in the PNR before offer creation in cryptic mode

Segment used to create offers must not be ticketed

Offers can only be created on Air and Hotel content

Offers Expiry

Offers expire after certain duration.

Single offer expiry

An offer is considered as expired when:

Either 30 days have passed since its creation

Or the first offer element is past-dated

Offers PNR purge date

In case a PNR has been created with Offers (not with an itinerary) and has never been committed (saved with end of transaction) with an itinerary, it is purged from central system only after all these dates:

At least, PNR’s creation date +4 days

At least, All Offers in the PNR expiry dates

At least, for a retrieved PNR, PNR’s initial expiry date

Note: After PNR purge, Offers cannot be accessed anymore

Cancelling Offer You can cancel an offer regardless of its status. When you cancel offers, they are removed from the offer section of the PNR For Example

Send Offer Notice You can send selected Offers in a notice to a specific e-mail address. No modification is ongoing on neither the PNR nor the Offers during this operation. Offer notice comes as a complement to the Itinerary document: no booked segments are reflected in the notice Offer notice may contain both Hotel and Air Offers, as well as Fare Notes Summary for Air Offers.

Conditions to Send Offer Notice Following are the conditions to send offer notice.

PNR must have been committed once. You must end transaction PNR before sending Offer notice, and also each time you add remarks in the PNR.

It is not possible to display Offers notice before sending: you can instead for example send it to an intermediary mailbox before sending it to customer.

Verify Offers You can optionally verify that an offer's booking class is still available and that the fare remains the same as when the offer was created. For example:

You want to email the offers to the customer, but you created the offer some time ago.

The customer wants to check that the offer price is still valid You verify offers one at a time. To verify an offer, display the offers, enter: RTOF System Response

Confirming Offer in to Booking When the customer has chosen the required offer, you can confirm the offer. Note: You can only confirm active offers. Confirming an offer generates a booking from the segments in the offer. As part of the confirmation, the system verifies that the offer is still available and reprices if necessary. The segments are sold and are added in the face of the PNR as a confirmed booking. You confirm offers one at a time. To confirm an offer, display the offers in the PNR For example
