An account planner uses critical thinking to be in tune with the needs of the client. They conduct the daily administration required in operating marketing accounts, maintaining public relations, and advertising initiatives to attract new clients and to retain existing clients. An account planner must always be aware of the clients mission, vision and strategy, and must manage the project with great detail and maintain professional communication with clients as needed. An ideal AP should show excellent communication skills, high level of organization, detail oriented, strong work ethic, professional conduct within and outside office while performing agency business.

Account Planner

Working as a Strategist requires that you not only know how to operate campaigns but also have the ability to communicate across multiple teams and with clients. The role of the strategist is a cycle that begins with getting to know the client, their industry and their customers. With this knowledge you then need to build and optimize a campaign that achieves the client’s vision. You are also required to analyze and report the results to the client in a way that is clear and coherent. A strategist is an all-rounded powerhouse that needs to always be calm, professional and diligent.

The mission of an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Director is to maximize the volume of inbound organic traffic from search engines to a website. A combination of on-page and off-page techniques, including link-building, social media strategy, viral marketing, meta-data sculpting, site speed optimization, content strategy, information architecture, and many other techniques are used to achieve this. Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other leading search engines are constantly changing their search algorithms, therefore an SEO expert works in a dynamic environment that requires them to be continually learning, fine-tuning their skills, and actively learning how the industry is shifting.

Where do you fit in?

As a Global Business Service Planner, you will expand and support our global business opportunities in various ways. You will analyze potential partners and clients through market research, competitor analysis, and business insight, as well as taking the initiative to reach out to those companies via phone, email, or LinkedIn. By organizing monthly committee meetings, you will consult with the global subsidiary team to strengthen internal and external relationships for making the work flow more efficient. With a growing global team, you will also be supporting the globalization of our internal paperwork to smoothen communications among local employees, global employees, and others. Furthermore, supporting the management of our global corporate website, social network pages, and digital marketing magazine will also be part of your tasks.

Global Business Service PlannerThe Media Development Office is a new venture for IREP and is tasked with creating new digital media both internationally and domestically. This is a very broad mission, and it spans across many disciplines with employees having to consider business, legal stipulations, system infrastructure for applications and web systems, and the operations of websites and social media. Aside from developing IREP-owned new media, you will also be responsible for providing consulting for both clients who are interested in exporting their ideas out of Japan to a global market, and for those looking to bring their ideas from overseas into the Japanese market. The most important skill in this team is initiative and imagination. Finding opportunities requires that you do not conform to what is already out there, but try to find value for a customer segment that has not yet been identified.

Google AdWords Certification

When it comes to Digital Marketing, understanding Google search is one of the major skills of the business process. To that end, we here at IREP will provide you with all the necessary knowledge and experiences to be able to pass the Google Certification Exam. This test will enable you to become a Google AdWords Certified Professional, as it is an international recognized certification that will show your expertise in advertising on Google.

There are six available tests: AdWords Fundamentals, Search Advertising, Display Advertising, Mobile Advertising, Video Advertising and Shopping Advertising.

Each test is designed to assess your knowledge and expertise in one of the fields of Google advertising. In order to become a Google AdWords Certified Professional, a minimum of two of these test need to be passed.

We understand the shock you face when moving from student life to work life, and from a familiar environment to a whole new culture. That is why we at IREP encourage a strong coaching culture, which emphasises the already present Senpai-Kouhai relationship embedded in Japanese Culture.

During your first month at IREP, you will be assigned a trainer from the Global Team. Their role is to provide guidance in aspects both in and out of the workplace.

It does not end with the first month; you are also assigned a mentor for 6 months who you can rely on to support you through your job and guide you in any issues you are facing in your life in Japan. You are also encouraged to constantly ask questions. There is a misconception that asking questions is a sign of weakness. However, at IREP we feel that asking questions shows dedication to communication and to reaching the desired goals. Don’t be shy, be curious.

Working at IREP does not infer that you will be chained to a desk in Tokyo (not that there is anything wrong with Tokyo). IREP has subsidiaries all over Asia and we are expanding rapidly, so we need people who are motivated and ready for crossing borders and time zones. If you show initiative and the broadness of vision, you can expect to be all over the world engaging in all kinds of business, including conducting due diligence, accounting, or consultation. Goals are set between employees and their managers, and then evaluated over a 6 month period. If you manage to meet the criteria ascribed to the given level, then you are ready for the next level. Your career is squarely in your hands!

Team ManagerA team manager is expected to organize individuals towards a common goal. They must have a clear vision of their targets and be able to clearly share this vision with those under their jurisdiction. As a team manager, you are also expected to share your knowledge with those you manage and to train them to become the future managers of the company.

Group Manager

Department Head

A group manager must ensure that the multiple teams in his command are all running on track, and that the common goal is clear amongst all team members. A Group Manager must have a level of understanding of the mission that will allow him to clearly present to the Department Head.

At this level, you report directly to the CEO and must attend a weekly meeting with the other Departmental Heads to ensure that your vision and that of the companies’ are in sync. You have to ensure the smooth operation of all the groups within the department you oversee, and that the rules of conduct, work-flow as well as general processes are transparently defined.

At this level, you are also expected to bring about the most change to the company in order to push it towards a successful and more globalized future.

Chief ExecutivesA Chief Executive establishes and carries out departmental or organizational goals, policies and procedures, directs and oversees the organization’s financial and budgetary activities. A Chief Executive also appoints department heads and managers, and makes other higher level decisions that must be conducted in order for the company to continue its business.

You don’t need to consider the cost of rent since IREP covers you for 3 years, providing an apartment within a 30 minute commute radius of the company. IREP also supports all traffic expenses for commuting to work, as well as insurance.
